lol.it's actually quite confusing, since i have irregular periods...
okay..first day of last period, was may 12, which made my due date is 02/15. based on my first dating u/s (i think 7 wks?), they dated me at 02/13..i went along my happy way at 02/14 for the longest time...then at 13 weeks, they dated me at 02/06. then at my 20 week, they said my due date was 02/20...and always has been....
so my official due date...is "who the hex knows".
my due date is now written at my dr office as 02/22, but i measure a few days ahead of that.
based on this, my "date of conception" is 6/1, but h and i did not do the nasty that day...so it was either 5/27 or 6/3.
things felt weird to me on 6/12 morning...i decided to test 6/13, but woke up late, so i didn't test, and test 6/14 with a positive pee stick.

This is all really interesting. I've been devouring knowledge since like a month before we started trying and it's so interesting to me at how everyone is so different.
So.... you're due February 22nd now? Can they tell based on baby size how far along you are or not or what? That's a lot of fluctuations.
but.. maybe you didn't actually conceive until the first.. which would have been from the 5/27 sperm right? so your baby is a GIRL!!!!!!!!! i knew it. lol. yes, i'm not a doctor but i FEEL this! lolllll.
anyway, so you guys are getting ready right? because that baby could be here anytime!!!
what is the official day of conception? what happens on this day? sperm and egg meet or implantation?
well my last measurement said 02/20..but it's written down as 02/22. i'm not sure where she got that number..but during the beginning, they asked me lots of questions on when we actually did it, etc. i gave her all the numbers she wanted, but my dates still changed all the time. even on paper at the dr office.
they said the 02/06 date, the tech just counted wrong, and it should've been +2weeks, which is where they got 02/20, also....
they do a "dating u/s" if you have irregular periods, that is covered by insurance, but every time they measured me, they gave me a different date. based on the "sizes" (how big the baby was in centimeters) that are printed on my u/s, i did some reverse-research, and i think i'm closer to 02/18... my stomach is measuring approx 2 days ahead of what the doctor has written down, so that's 02/20...
i think there was major paperwork issues, plus my irregular periods, that made my date all funky.
they do dating-ultrasounds early, because babies grow pretty "standard" at that time, and later on in the pg, i think after 13 weeks, they don't do them anymore because babies then grow at their own rate. so....my baby will come whenever it's ready. sometime between feb 6 and feb 22. give or take.

yeah, we're getting ready! we used our completion discount last night...which means in 2 days, amazon will deliver us a car seat as well as 17 other boxes. i bet UPS is thrilled about that
the official day of conception is the day sperm and egg meet for the first time (which could be up to 3 days after you do the dirty). implantation happens a day or two after that. i think.

yeah i think it's technically 3-5 days...by day 4 and 5, you barely have any more swimmers left that survived.
and yeah! it's crazy how ALL the local feb moms are either girls or surprise. i had a dream two nights ago that it was a boy. my "boy" gut feeling is coming back, h never lost his, and my mom is convinced it's a boy. it's pretty much just you and my dad that thinks it's a girl.
we had an u/s yesterday, and we got to see the baby's face...h and i are both pretty sure our baby looks more boy.....or a boyish girl. haha. but all babies look the same anyways

Above all, good luck not going crazy for the next 1.5 months or so. I think I'd go super crazy if I had such a wide window of possible due dates.
When do you stop working? Do you have that day decided yet?
at this point, i've let it go...at first i was freaking out..but i kinda like it better this way. especially since the "official written down due date" is the latest one i've ever gotten....i really really don't want to be induced, and they usually don't induce until a week or so after your due date (unless you have other complications), so this way it gives baby the most time to cook.
i don't have a final date set yet-- i'm still pretty healthy...sure i have back pain, etc, but nothing that has stopped me from living life yet. i think at my next appt (monday) or the next one after that we'll see what dr says. but at my appt yesterday, we did my first internal check, and i have zero progress, so, there's really really no reason i need to stop working yet.
