I just finished day 1 and I feel like I'm about to die.
2 questions:
-Is that normal?
-Is it going to get better when I do it for a number of days?
If I keep feeling like this, I think I'd rather stay fat

Re: 30 day shred
It does get easier, but really listen to your body. I "pushed through" a little knee discomfort in order to stick with my goal of doing all 30 days. That turned into me ending up in a knee brace and not being able to exercise for weeks.

<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DI started over and did Day 1 today. Personally, I don't think that doing it for 30 days straight is beneficial at all, especially if you've had knee problems. I push through until I feel pain in my knees, but I also only do it 3-4 times a week. Anything more than that seems a bit much on my body, but that's just me personally.
Don't worry, I died too today.
The first time was definitely hard and I was really sore for a couple of days, especially in my shoulders, which have always been a weak point for me.
It does get easier--to the point where it felt like a great workout, not like I'd just been run over!
I don't think you should do it for 30 days in a row. At most, I did it 2-3x/wk and I modified for areas where I was not as strong (i.e. I only did push ups for 50% of the time because those were really hard, but then I would do extra ab work because the existing ab workout wasn't challenging enough for me).
On days off, try doing another exercise that doesn't target your knees--swimming, elliptical, etc.

<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home DI had a lot of success with this last year but I never, ever did it 30 days straight. Once it stopped making me feel like I was going to die, I did 1 day / week of workout 1 and 1 day / week of workout 2. I then went jogging a few times a week. With some modifications since I (along with everyone else on this board apparently!) have some knee issues and can't do squats. I never attempted workout 3, I watched it once and giggled a lot.
I think it's a great workout actually and it definitely gets easier. I didn't lose any weight when I was doing it regularly but I did go down a size and noticed a significant difference at my waist in particular.
I really need to start this again actually... I keep talking about it and failing to actually do it!
