I am on an orange kick

I just bought a big bag of them. Now the question is, can I eat them all before the get moldy?

Re: I am on an orange kick

  • I know!  I usually buy the wooden crate of clementines, but there are always a few stragglers at the end that don't make it.

  • Be jealous! I have an orange tree in my back yard. Anytime I want an orange, I just walk outside and pick it!

I'm super jealous! I wish we could have one here.

  • We are spoiled where we live. Our landlord (next door) has his own grove area with orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, and fig trees. It's going to suck when we move one day and have to buy our own rather than just pick them off the tree.
  • I impulsively bought a bag the other day as well, and I have been eating one or two a day! They are fantastic!

And if they start going soft and you don't think you will eat them, you could always make fresh squeezed orange juice.

  • They had them all sliced and peeled so nicely on our cruise that I kind of overdosed on them.  When we got back I also bought a huge bag and I only have one left.

I love them cold out of the fridge after a workout.

Yup! Or I throw them in a smoothie if I don't think I'll eat them..

  • Good oranges are one of my favorite things about winter!

Along with Pummelos being in season! Hooray!

This is awesome!  I'd love to have an apple tree too.  I inhale them.

We've been making fresh orange juice with our new juicer lately.  It's delicious.

  • I wish I wasn't allergic to citrus fruit.  Sad

I've been eating pears like nobody's business, though.  Mmmmm...

  • Mmm. If they start getting moldy, we slice them and put them in our disposal and it smells better

    I do enjoy oranges.

My mom has an apple tree in her backyard and it was so neat to just walk outside and get apples to eat this summer! I love fruit.

I do too, they're a great post workout snack.  DH loves them so we have them in the house all the time.
