need outfit inspiration please
okay ladies- i have an engagement party in nyc in 2 weeks. 4p on a saturday, in a house on central park west, cocktail attire. dh and i are most likely overnighting.
i will be wearing skinny jeans, boots, a red/white striped t and white sweater (depending on temp) on saturday. and the same jeans, boots and need an idea for a shirt on sunday. comfy for hungover travel but cute for a possible brunch.
what is cocktail attire at 4p at someone's house? dress, skirt? help!
i know outerwear will depend on weather but i am thinking either my barbour jacket and then a fancy sweater for the party if it's warm. and if its cold, i will probably just take my camel long overcoat for the entire weekend. any other thoughts?
one other issue- the hair i lost post-partum is growing back in and i have little spikes all over the front of my head. flipping miserable. any way to tame them w/o looking like i dumped vaseline on my head?

i dont think you can go wrong with a LBD and those awesome shoes, something simple like these. And as far as coat, definitely go with the long one if you will be walking outside at all, NYC nights are cold in just tights!
