My H and I will be in Hawaii next November, and part of the trip will be 4 days in Oahu. Right now, we are staying all 4 days in Ko Olina at the JW Marriott. We have considered changing that and staying the last night in Honolulu, to have a nice dinner there and see the city and Waikiki beach before we fly home the next day. My H is a little hesitant about this plan, he is not sure its worth it to move hotels again (we will be in Hawaii for 2 weeks) and that we wouldn't be able to see Honolulu and just stay in our current hotel. Just wanted to get anyone's opinion that has been to Oahu and Honolulu if it might be worth it. Thank you!

Re: Oahu and Honolulu
I second this
Ditto.
Definitely don't need to change hotels.
I live on Oahu and I personally think Waikiki is highly over-rated. I would recommend just driving there if you want to get a nice dinner. It'll only be about a half hour, depending on traffic, to get to Waikiki from Ko Olina. If you drive there, parking is hard to come by cheaply so I would recommend parking in the Royal Hawaiian parking garage. If you google parking in Waikiki you should be able to spot it on a map. You'll get a ticket that you can get validated at almost any shop in that area. Even if you don't eat there just ask them to validate it. It's usually about $2 for us when we park there with validation.
Ditto this, except I don't live there I just grew up there. If you park at Royal Hawaiian try to hit their happy hour if they still have it. Cheap mai tais and live Hawaiian music.
