Sorry for not knowing but...
Can you use a restaurant gift card for a to-go/take-out order?
DH and I received a few as wedding/1st Christmas gifts and we've used some but lately we're never home at the same time unless it's after-meal hours.
I'm not trying to sound cheap, but it's more a convenience thing if one of us picked up food and put the other person's in the fridge until they got home.
(Yes, yes, I could just save the GCs for later...)
So, can I? I tried googling and looking at the gift cards section of restaurant websites. I may end up calling but I just wanted to know if anyone has done this.
Re: Sorry for not knowing but...
As long as you can pay when you pick it up you should be fine.
Some places require you to pay w a credit card when placing your order though.
Got it, thanks.
If you can't tell, DH and I don't eat out often. And if we do, it's usually not by gift card.
