Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

Anyway to get a new MOD

If she doesn't post here anymore how do we go about getting a new MOD for our board? I think we are a pretty good bunch and get along, but it would probably be good to have one.

Re: Anyway to get a new MOD

  • I emailed the nest a while back when we were having lots of solicitation posts--they never responded.  I agree--we need a mod who actually posts here.

  • The person who mods this board has a new sn and posts on my local.  I know she isn't an active poster on here, but I assume she checks, but I think she lost mod functionality when she changed names if I remember correctly.

I'm happy to post on the mod board and refer Bump Kathleen to this post.

All the more reason for a new mod :)

    Sounds good to me.

Not trying to start anything but I do think we probably need a new MOD.

  • I agree with this whole thread.

While we don't have a lot of issues, it would be nice to have a mod who can delete solicitation posts and who actually posts...

  • I don't think mods can delete- but, they CAN edit posts. Which can be helpful with the solicitation posts (and I guess they could edit out the pinterest requests, too). I do agree that we need someone who's been around, but, definitely not me (I like to be free to be a b!tch on bump boards, and that isn't very mod-ly :).

Yes, this is what I meant.  EDIT solicitation posts, not Delete.  That's what I get for not re-reading before I post Stick out tongue

For the love of God, YES!  I keep hoping the old ones get pushed down and they'll go away, but a new one pops up then 5 more follow from people w/ single posts.
