Party Decor

Hi Ladies

Do you have an online site you use to purchase party decor? I am planning a baby shower and need to purchase decor. The theme is Showered with Love and the colors are aqua, grey and yellow. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Re: Party Decor

  • I usually buy stuff at Party City.

  • I would cut out a bunch of hearts in the shower colors and hang them on "vertical banners" (if that makes sense) so that it looks like hearts are rain drops from the ceiling.  That should be easy and inexpensive.  Maybe you can find scrapbook paper with patterns in the shower colors for a little stylish kick instead of plain colored paper.

I would also consider hanging some pretty white parasols around - to with the rain/shower theme.

If you happen to find some really cute yellow baby (or probably toddler) rain boots - that might be a cool and different cake topper.  Get it?  B/c it's like traditional baby botties, but they're rain botties instead!

Hope this helps!  Love your color scheme.

I've done something similar using a bunch of doilies I had on hand.  I've noticed that Dollar Tree has red heart doilies and you can do this with it.  I made mine using fishing line and a hot glue gun.

As for your original question, I don't buy any decorations online.  I tend to try to use what I have on hand or buy in person.  Check Dollar Tree for some items (the hearts, red vases or cups or plates you may need).  I think I've seen you can buy online there now.

  • Like the other poster said Dollar store.  I always start there to see what they have.
