B and I are thinking about taking a cruise this spring (hopefully prior to the spring breakers) in the Caribbean, and I know some of you ladies have been on ones that you've enjoyed. Aside from our honeymoon cruise, which was a ship of 250 people, I've never been on a cruise. Any recommendations, warnings, words of wisdom? I should also mention that I've been to the Caribbean once (St. Thomas for a wedding with my parents when I was 14), but I know nothing about any of the islands. All help is appreciated!

Re: Cruise Ladies
I've only cruised once in Alaska for our HM. We went on Celebrity, which we LOVED. The food was amazing. I take it you want it to be a babymoon, just the two of you? If so, you might want to try one of the higher end cruise lines that are slightly more sophisticated - maybe Celebrity or Princess. One of the things we did for our HM was request a table for 2 at dinner (if it's a cruise with assigned seatings, you get the same table every night), but sitting at a bigger table with the same folks every night is a fun way to meet people too.
On that note, V and I are thinking of cruising this spring with Darian. We're looking at Royal Caribbean, because some of their ships have really great nursery programs. But I'm assuming that doesn't interest you at this point... otherwise I'd suggest a GTG

Ooh, I forgot about that. Yes, we were thinking of cruising last year but couldn't book anything in time, I think the cutoff for most cruise lines was 25 weeks or so.

Good to know Reba. I hadn't even thought about that. *Runs to check calendar*. It looks like if we go the first or second week of April, I'll just meet that deadline.
Ringy, if we wind up on the same line at the same time, I'd love to do a GTG. While it is technically our babymoon, mostly, we just want to go somewhere warm where we can sit out and not have a vacation aimed around sight-seeing, like our last few vacations. We're looking at a cruise mostly because it's easy and cheaper than the time at a resort.
I've done the Eastern Caribbean twice. The first was in 2008, we went to Nassau, St. Thomas, and St. Marteen for a week on Carnival Cruise Lines. It was the most fun I have ever had in my life, but it definitely seemed like a party boat.
The 2nd was our honeymoon, we went to Nassau, then 2 other islands in the Bahamas. This one was with Norwegian Cruise Lines, which seemed to be more directed towards older people and families. We truly did not enjoy it very much, but we were kind of expecting party like on Carnival.
Hope that helps!
