I saw a commercial the other day for these Space Bag stackable totes and was kind of intrigued so I looked them up on Amazon and they got pretty good reviews. I ordered a couple, they arrived today, and I'm in love.
The stack of stuff that fits in this thing was 4 times as high as what I ended up with after I vacuumed the air out! (I know, I sound like a commercial...sorry) Here is what went into this one tote: one very fluffy twin bed comforter, 2 king size quilts, another twin size quilt, a king-size quilted bed skirt and 3 big throw pillows. There was actually still some room for more, but that's all I wanted to put in for now. And All that bedding was literally crammed into our linen closet and now it's neatly in the nice looking tote on the floor under the bottom shelf.
I like that it's a nice rectangle size because I can easily stack a plastic crate or another one of the totes on top of it without it slipping around like the regular space bags do.
Anyway, I know that a lot of you have closet/space challenged like I do, so I thought I'd share :-)

Re: product rave! Space Bag totes
I"m in love with mine, too! Sucking the air out is so satisfying and magical, LOL.
I actually just got some of these hanging ones (also Space Bag, but don't get as great of reviews...) and I CAN'T WAIT to try them!!!!
This is well timed. I'm trying to clear out the guest room closet & we have all these random blankets (mostly made by relatives, so not something we can get rid of!) and they take up so much room!
Will have to try one of these things.
Us too!
Does anyone else have a problem with bags busting? I think it's my overzealous stuffing that is to blame but at least 75% of the bags I've used have busted right along the zipper line.
I think you might be filling them too full. I've had the best luck making sure that w/out having to stuff it down, the clothing (or whatever) easily is below the fill line.
I've had the same problem. It's kind of turned me off of the Space Bags. My mother, on the other hand, is definitely on the Space Bag love train. Maybe I'm overfilling...
I have had one break... but, the others are holding strong. I think it's an overfilling problem.
I use them for baby clothes and blankets given by/made by relatives. Looks like we all have similar storage problems. LOL.

DH and I were just joking how we need to invest in some space bags. I didn't know people actually used them. lol
We have to rotate our clothes seasonally because have 0 closet space, and our attic is littered with boxes of clothes.
I'm so excited about this!
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
yeah, I had sworn them off, too, because I had several of them crack or break open in the past. but I thought that this sounded better because it's basically a bag inside of the tote. plus, after you suck the air out, it has straps that go over the bag to keep everything in place in the tote.
Ditto this. Our closets are a mess with big totes and I have way too many of the kids' clothes that I need to sort through but I am waiting for one more friend to see if she has a girl.
