Okay, so I admit that I have always been more of a get together than "get wasted and black out" type.. but regardless I have always had pretty stable friends.. and same for my husband.. the friends we do have we have known atleast 10yrs plus.. BUT it's pretty obvious we don't have any "couple" friends.. I have my single gf and the ones with kids (w/o the man) and my husbands are all single and like it that way..
It would be really nice to have couples to go out with or least chat with that actually are at the same places in life as you... We do have a step son whose 5 but only every other weekend so we do go back from the "newlywed fuin" to "parents" but idk I just wish we could both meet new couples even for little cocktails and not have to hear about this drama or that cause were not those people anymore!!
Anywho, any suggestions????
Re: We use to be cool..
Do you go to a church and do they have an adults/couples group?
Are either of you an alumni of a university with a former students association in the area and have you joined? Many universities have local clubs and are quite active here in DFW.
Do either of you belong to professional organizations and do you both go regularly to their functions?
Do you volunteer?
