Okay, ladies. I need your best baby shower games! My sister-in-law is expecting her first baby. She's due in May. We're having her shower in mid-March. She is expecting a baby boy.
Anyway, I'm looking for your best game ideas. I want to make sure they're "classy" games. There will be lots of older women attending, and I don't want to embarrass my sister. So preferably nothing dealing with measuring her belly or anything like that. Thanks in advance!!
Re: Baby Shower Games
-baby bingo w. gifts
-my mom did a diaper bag with a bunch of stuff I would take to the hospital and ppl had to remember what was in it
-have ppl bring different size diapers give them a ticket and pull for a prize
You could set a timer and when it goes off, the person whose gift she is opening gets a prize. I have done that at bridal showers. It is easy and simple and not too time consuming.
Another game I have played is "diapering" a doll while you pretend to chat on your cell phone.
I'm always a fan of games that can be played while opening gifts like baby bingo, and the one mentioned where you set a timer and whoever's gift they are opening gets a prize.
At my baby shower my sister gave passed around rolls of toilet paper and they all took off however much they thought would fit around my waist. Then she measured me and counted the squares and whoever was closest won. This will only work if the guest of honor isn't self conscious about her belly though.
We also played the dirty diaper game where you smash different candy bars in diapers to look like poo and then pass them around and people have to guess which candy bar it is. I actually hate this game but some people love it.
There's also the one where you have to taste baby food and guess which kind it is. I always think that one is fun but it is kind of time consuming.
I'm not a fan either. We won't be playing that one. I don't want to do anything that involves measuring the mommy's belly either. I don't want to make her uncomfortable. These are the ideas I'm thinking so far. Let me know your thoughts, ladies.
1. Match the celeb baby name to the celeb parents.
2. Price is Right (using common baby items which I would then give to the mom)
3. Wishes for baby (not really a game, but a keepsake)
4. Guess how many onesies she will receive (guess before gift opening begins and whoever is closest, gets a prize)
