PR: People attempting PIP from Flickr

Ok, here's hoping it works this time.  Thanks Jules and Kara for helping me out.  Here are the pics I tried to post of Benjamin, my last client that I took in December.

  • Jules- I don't know if you can view the larger versions by clicking, but if you can do  you notice any pixilating?  Especially around his ears?  I noticed it first with him and then on my last shoot with Mariela.  I had my camera on auto for the ISO and it was making it rediculously high.  I need to work on that for sure.

They didn't end up being linked to larger images, but I looked at them via the run around way.

I do notice the pixelating, it's probably due to a higher ISO like you mentioned, but It can also happen in post processing.  It looks like you might have had 2 different light sources (maybe a lamp and a window / flash?) the color tones are very different between the first and the second (the first looked mixed: warm and cool spots and the second looks cool).  When you have competing light sources, some programs can handle conversions better than others when processing and it can also depend on the type of image you shoot (jpeg - vs RAW) since you have to process each lighting spot differently than the one next to it in the same image.

It could also be due to how it was saved, any compression of the image that was done, etc.

ETA: if you are shooting jpegs, make sure you are shooting in the highest available resolution.

Also - It looks like the focus fell on his shoulder, so it could have something to do with that, but I am not thinking it should create the pixelation.
