Weekly Accountability

I've sucked here lately. Last week I was on my period and was pretty miserable, this week I've been sick.

Veggie intake - about a 5 out of 10.  Been trying to do salads for lunch, always have a veggie with dinner.  I've done ok considering how I've felt the past few weeks.

Working out - a zero.  None last week because I was crampy and biitchy, none yet this week because I can barely breathe out of my nose.

Eating Vegetarian once a week - that I'm actually doing.  Has butternut squash and spinach gnocchi last week.  Not sure what we'll be doing this week yet.

drinks or dessert - about an 8 our of 10.  Haven't drank much this week because I feel like poo.  Or had dessert much for that matter.  So woot!

portion control - again, about 8 out of 10.  Cold has done a number on my appetite, so I haven't eaten much of anything.

How's everyone else doing on their goals?

Re: Weekly Accountability

  • I suck.

    That is all.

  • I'm going to join in on the suck-fest.  Up 0.6lbs this week... I don't think Sunday is going to prove to be any better.

  • I suck 3.

    My NYR:

-Drink less soda- well, it is board week, which is stressful anyway, and I had to manage the whole presentation, so that was extra stressful.  Saturday I had a Coke to get the burn of a jalepeno out of my mouth.  Monday I had an energy drink and 2 sodas.  Yesterday and today I have only had 1 soda (12oz).  I am not going to drink soda tomorrow, because I will be drinking this weekend (my exception to no soda is diet soda and alcohol).

-Stop buying nail polish for 3 months- this has been a slippery slope for me.  I have gotten 8 new bottles of polish (well, have gotten 5 and 3 are on order) but only paid for 2 because 3 were gifts and 3 were Birchbox points that I had to use before I cancelled.  I have revised to get 3 bottles when I lose 15lbs, then 1 bottle for every subsequent 5lbs lost.  That way, the hiatus will last longer and I have incentives.

-Lose 30lbs- I weighed myself and was disgusted.  Some people have said they think this is too much weight for me to lose but I think it is fine.  I've set my Sparkpeople goals and I can eat as much as 1550 cal a day and achieve it by June, so I'm pretty sure I will stick with it.  I went to the gym on Monday, and moved furniture for 90 min yesterday, so I'm doing well on this.

Spark people calorie so far this week: Monday 1218 (396 burned) Tuesday 1020 (358 burned) Wednesday (pre-dinner) 867.

  • Well, now I feel bad, because I was going to say I'm kicking azz, but that's no fun if everyone else is sucking. Sorry, you guys. :-(

We have weekly weight-ins on Thursday, so I'm due tomorrow morning. As of last Thursday, I had lost 6lbs in 2 weeks. Hoping for good news tomorrow. I don't trust my rinky-dink scale.

I've worked out every day this week. That's on 3 days, but still.

I've been eating tons of fruit. I made a gigantic batch of chicken salad with grapes, apples, cucumbers, and yogurt.

I have been doing very very poorly with the Diet Dr. Pepper habit, but I got hardcore this week and I haven't and won't be having one.

Our school nurse emailed an article about healthy weight loss and one of the tips said that an appropriate serving size of pasta is 1/2 cup. I almost cried.

  • I'm doing so-so. I made some diet modifications this month to try and get my cycles more normal, and it's totally working. I am so freaking excited. I've been trying to avoid carbs (esp. sugar), lower caffeine intake, drink more tea, eat more whole grains and lean protein. I had lost 5 lbs when I had my sinus infection and thanks to the changes I've made, I haven't gained any of it back even though I haven't exercised yet (which I'm starting next week, most likely)

  • I have been bad about exercising. I haven't been to the gym since last Thursday.  It seems out of the way and I just can't drag myself there. I did work out at home a couple days.

I have been good about vegetables and no fried food. For some reason I have been craving sweets hard core. Had a box of gs cookies myself last weekend :(
