And you HAD to spend it today. But you couldn't spend it on bills or booking a vacation- only something tangible.
What would you buy?
Re: If you had $1,000
A massage, for one
A smartphone
Some awesome shoes and a bag
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

New TV stand! That's about $500. I think I'd use the rest to get some thermal curtains for our living room to block the drafts from the windows. Or maybe a nice big mirror to go on the mantel. Or both, depending on how much they would cost.
Shoes and a bag would be great.. (I can't walk into the Jack Spade store any longer... it's just to tempting...)
I would also love a new iphone... since I lost mine four weeks after buying one.
Other than that... I'd have to think. I really want to get SO a certain ring he likes from Tiffanys. He does not often make a big deal of "stuff," but we have visited that ring a few times. (I think it's coming his way as soon as I finally earn my masters degree... he deserves something for all of the support he has shown over the past years.)
Oh no, that sucks! Someone on MM had hers stolen from her office the day after she bought it.
And I think it's sweet that you want to buy SO a gift for being supportive. PIP of the ring, please.
Ok so I am clearly not a good thief but why would you steal an iPhone? To sell it? Don't you have to transfer the phone # if you use it yourself? Wouldn't that be code red for the phone service provider that you are using a stolen phone?
I mean, would it even be a useful thing to have if you stole it?
That's a cool looking ring. Though the Tiffany's premium, not so much haha!
Ginger, at my Masters ceremony graduation, one of my professors spoke and she said "to all the significant others in this room... tonight's your night, you've been patient for 2-3 years and you may finally get LUCKY!!!" (paraphrasing as I cannot for the life of me remember exactly what she said).
DH (then boyfriend) was sitting next to my parents and wanted to hide under a rock.
That ring is awesome!
How did you do that?
As far as the Tiffany's premium... compared to what we have paid to B.U. over the past few years, it seems like a bargin. ; )
I had to Google Image the ring and steal a pic from somewhere else since the one on Tiffany's site is in Flash.
And fair enough re: the price, ha.
i really want a nice, soft leather bag. and a pair of everyday studs (something simple and white or rose gold).
and if I had my way, I'd already be pregnant. So if that were the case, tons of baby things since I'm obsessed.
