Yogis - how do you mat shop?
My mats are probably crap (the cheapest I could find at Marshall's) and I think that's beginning to show. I have absolutely no grip when I get the slightest bit sweaty and basically slid off my mat twice last night. I'm sure I could walk in to Lululemon or Athleta and they would be happy to sell me a $$$ mat, but I don't really know what I'm looking for. Recs? Certain brands? Types?

I have the Manduka Pro Lite mat. I like it a lot, I've had it forever (5ish years) and I use it twice a week. I tend to get sweaty at yoga and I never lose my grip.
Stand up for something you believe in.
I dont know what I have, Ive had it for years and I think just picked it up at Target. I do find that if I feel like its losing grip I just clean it with like an all purpose spray cleaner and it gets sticky again. Maybe give it a shot. I'm cheap like that
You know, this is probably super disgusting but it's actually been a really long time since I cleaned my mat with an actual cleaner. Good point.
I check out mats at the studio, then buy them online b/c they are cheaper
