Anyone been to the Terranea Resort near L.A.?
It looks totally gorgeous and right up my alley, but I'm not sure what else is around there...says it's 30 min from L.A., in Rancho Palos Verdes.
Anyone been there or around there?
Re: Anyone been to the Terranea Resort near L.A.?
Yeah! That's definitely the place! I remember distinctly because they were having deals for Terranea all.the.time on websites like Luxury Link, Jetsetter, Snique Away, etc. and the name was etched in my brain, so when I saw they were getting married there I took notice. It looked nice to me! Really, I'm no help! What kind of trip are you two lovebirds planning!?
It's not far from us, but we still haven't been. It's on my long weekend vacation to do list.
Oh, just a 4-night spa resort escape, it's either going to be Palm Springs or on the Cali Coast somewhere... I found an excellent flight & hotel package for the Terranea, like $600 each, so I'm really tempted
Kirkette, can you tell me what's around there outside of the resort? Any cool beach towns, shopping, attractions....?
Thank you. Is there anything else nearby though? I don't want to go to L.A. at all, been there and done that. Any beach towns nearby?
Palos Verde is one of my favorite LA beaches, but it's not really a beach town. It's beautiful there and I haven't been once when there weren't dolphins or seals frolicking in the waves. However, you are around the corner from the beach towns of Hermosa, Redondo, and Manhattan Beach. Of the three, Hermosa is probably the quirkiest.
You could also easily get to Long Beach if you wanted to check out the Queen Mary, the aquarium, or the Belmont Shores area (which is very beach town feeling)
Thanks girl! That's what I wanted to know, cool.
