Bona Mop - Reviews?

Does anyone have an opinion on Bona Mops?

We're moving into a house that will have a lot more hardwood flooring that will need a mop.  I won't be able to use the shark steam mop it.

Thoughts?

Re: Bona Mop - Reviews?

  • My mom swears by Bona, she is a housekeeper and has wood floors herself and loves it.
  • I have a bona system and like it.  It's all I've ever used though, so I don't really have anything to compare it to.  Makes my floors nice and shiny
  • Great!  Good to know.
  • It sucks. It constantly comes apart from the pad and I have ripped my fingers and nails trying to put it back together. Finally it snapped in half and now its completely broken. I have emailed the company with a complaint and have been ignored. I can tell you though it did shine my floors but the overall construction is poor. I went out and got a Shark last week. Why cant you use your Shark? I use it and have hardwood. Its safe on hardwood.
  • I agree with all the PP.  I really like the cleaners but the microfiber pad/mop thing sucks.  It is constantly coming apart.  I would buy the cleaner and just get a regular microfiber mop.
  • IMO, it's crap.

The previous owner of my house used the Bona system on the floors (OMG was she proud of that thing) and it left a nasty residue all over. It took a few washes to get it all off. We didn't realize when we bought the place that the floors were actually cherry... the looked more like a dark walnut.
