How to feed Duckis (not Duckis') chicken.

Take

4 Chicken Breasts

2 cans cream of chicken soup

1 package of prechopped onion (I was lazy and in a hurry)

A shake of poultry seasoning

A shake of pepper

(I honestly can't remember if I threw some garlic in there or not.)

And a half a soup can or so of water

put it in a slow cooker on low and go to work for 10 hours.

Come home shred the chicken up with a fork (splash yourself with some super hot broth and curse like a sailor scaring your cat and your friend Rachael). Open a tube of buttermilk biscuits and tear them into bite sized pieces. Throw them in the slowcooker and stir the mess up. Put the slow cooker on high for 30 - 45 minutes.

  • Thank you! I predict that I will be making a lot of this in the weeks after Allie is borned.
  • I use this ressypee but make a couple adjustments:
I add a couple cut up potatoes and a bag of frozen veggies
I replace the water with chicken stock

  • In the interest of sparking discussion and starting creamgate, I'm always disappointed when I click on a recipe (here, pinterest, wherever) and it contains cream of crap.
  • I doubt you'll spark creamgate with me. I hadn't purchased Cream of Crap in probably over a year. But when making stuff like this in the crockpot cream of crap does work best.

  • I have no problem with cream of crap, and am all for recipes that are quick and easy and require minimal dirtying of dishes. I am going to have to hide this from H, though. He'll want to re-engineer it with all fresh ingredients. I just want something I can throw into a crock pot and forget about.

  • I make this all the time. Use chicken broth instead of the water.

I also add some basil, garlic and rosemary and it is yummy.

Also, you can add peas or carrots near the end to make it a veg included meal.

I just made this for my HP marathon this weekend. Our babysitter ate the leftovers last night and raved.
