Feds: Performance appraisal/ratings ?

If I applied for a new fed job - would the new agency look at all my past ratings (I've been a fed for six years with final ratings that have flip flopped a few times), or just the most recent?  Anyone know?

Re: Feds: Performance appraisal/ratings ?

  • I just got a new job with the government (after a years absence) and I believe they only looked at my 2011 rating period. I also submitted a previous evaluation, but it wasn't required.

If you do end up submitting multiple evaluations, I was told you have to fax them all in; there was not a good way to submit multiple evaluations through the site because the online system can only handle one.

    Good luck!

  • Hmmm new supervisor marked me lower this year than most of the preceeding years - I guess old supervisor thought I did better work.  And we're getting yet another new supervisor this Spring.  Maybe I can prove myself to new-new supervisor and get back to my preferred rating.  Stick out tongue  Not job hunting now, but if I was, I'd want a new agency to know that I usually get the higher rating... but I guess they wouldn't know.  All just hypothetical.

  • It's standard to ask for the most recent performance appraisal.
