Crap. Advice? re: transcripts must be attached

I just found an internal-only job posting with my company that I would love to apply for. The posting says all transcripts must be attached with the resume & cover letter. They can be unofficial copies, however, only 1 (grad school) is on file from when I was hired for my current position and the posting closes on the 29th. My other 2 transcripts (from undergrad) are from institutions not within reasonable distance for me to pick them up in person. I am confident I can get 1 of them but the other school is notorious for screwing up/taking forever to process transcript requests.

So my options are:

1) Try to get all 3 but if they don't come through in time, just not bother applyign at all;

2) submit the 2 that I can & hope that's sufficient;

3) submit grad transcript only (the posting for my current job also said "all" but then they really only cared about grad school so there's still a chance this could be the case with the new job or is that wishful thinking?).

Thoughts? Advice? I hate the thought of missing my chance at this job. I'm qualified, I'm more interested in this than my current position & it's so much closer to home!

  • Do you have any way to log onto their system with your old student ID and password and save a pdf of the unofficial copies? That is what I have done with no problems.
  • Can't you contact someone and explain the situation, and ask if the 1 or 2 would be sufficient?

    This.  Oftentimes you can register now even though school is behind you.

    If that's a fail, ask HR or whoever posted the position if just the grad is ok.  They might say yes.

  • Some schools allow you to print them off the Internet. You could also call and explain and see if they can fax them over to you. I actually have copies of all my transcripts, official and unofficial because I ended up in a situation like this. Good luck!
