Whistler - What to wear?

I know this isnt a travel question per se - But what do people wear in Whislter at nights? I know there are a lot of night clubs and nice restaurants there.

Any tips for what to wear during the day and night? How will Dressy at night work with snow boots?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Whistler - What to wear?

  • I wore black boots, dark jeans that were in good condition, and a pea coat. Nicer than ski-gear but not at all fancy. I found that even the swanky places were still pretty casual.

  • I've never seen anyone totally dressed up in Whistler, even in the nicer places.  Jeans or leggings with boots, sweaters, and stylish/cute jackets and coats.  Like what stever said...

  • Same as the PPs. I wore either my rubber rain boots or my leather Timberland boots, depending on what top I wore (my rain boots are Cole Haan and a little dressier than my Tiberlands). But mostly dark slim jeans with a nicer sweater. It isn't the fanciest place, but DH and I didn't really go to "fancy" places. I mean we went to bars, but even then, same thing - dark jeans (or leggings if you prefer), a cozy top, and boots.

During the day, we spent ALL day on the slopes so we were decked out in ski gear.

Have fun. I LOVE Whistler. Love it, love it, love it.

I swim because I'm too damned sexy for a sport that requires real clothing.
