Just got some amazing news...
My insurance approved my surgery on Tuesday! I am shocked and grateful and feel so lucky & blessed.
Backstory: We switched insurance companies at the beginning of the year - which caused me a great deal of heart burn since I was rapidly approaching the surgery date. My previous insurance carrier refused the claim, so I almost said the heck with it, these people won't cover it either so no point in doing a medical review.
I decided I would give it a go and submit for medical review and just see what happened (but not change the surgery date). The insurance carrier called my oral surgeon on Monday and said the claim was opened. They called back again today and said that they have approved it and will get them paper work to file the procedures!
