I can't believe the washing clothes one.
People can be so inconsiderate!
I was spending a weekend with my family in Fredericksburg a few years ago and my then- 4 year old cousin wet the bed. We were all staying in travel trailers at LBJ state park, so my aunt and I ran into town to wash the girl's sleeping bag, nightgown and panties at the laundromat.
We leave for literally 10 minutes, thinking surely no one would mess with a little girl's stuff (very little girly, as in all Disney princess logos on everything) in the middle of the day, and come back to find the items gone.
After looking around for a few minutes, we ask a guy if he saw anyone take the stuff and he points to a car out front. We run outside and there is a couple with a girl about the same age as my cousin in the back seat. My aunt knocks on the window a few times before the guy rolls down his window, and she asks them if they might have grabbed the items by mistake.
We are very suspicious now since it took the guy forever to roll down the window, and they are not being friendly. I'm on the passenger side and the lady is cussing at me in spanish even though I haven't said anything.
My aunt then asked politely if we could look at their hamper just in case. Finally, they pop the trunk and sitting on top of their hamper is all of my cousin's stuff!
It was sad because the little girl in the back seat looked confused, and I'm sure her parents just wanted something nice for her, but I don't think stealing is ever the right thing to do.
Damn, Missus, that's effed up!
It never occurred to me that people might scope out a laundromat..
