cooked on egg in muffin tins
I thought I was soooo smart making DH individually sized souffles in my muffin tin, but I must not have buttered the tin thoroughly enough because I have extremely stubborn baked on egg crusted on the inside of each section. Unfortunately, it is a nonstick-coated tin so my options for cleaning are somewhat limited. I've tried scrubbing with a Scotchbrite scrubby, a food scraper, soaking in hot water, soaking in water with baking soda, baking soda with vinegar, and a paste of salt and lemon juice. Nothing will get the egg off! I'm within inches of throwing the thing away and buying a new one. Any other ideas?

Re: cooked on egg in muffin tins
Do you have a "sanitize" cycle on your dishwasher? That would be your hottest setting. The "pots and pans" setting will also be very hot.
Aside from that and soaking/elbow grease, I have no suggestions. Cooked-on egg is one of the absolute worst.
