Overnight Parking near Ballston/Clarendon

We're celebrating DH's birthday this Saturday, but I am breastfeeding and cannot go from 6:00 to midnight or later without pumping.  So I would like to drive down to Ballston where we're having dinner (so I can pump in the car between dinner and drinks) but metro home and pick the car up on Sunday.

Does anyone know if you can leave your car overnight at the Ballston mall garage?

If I could find street parking around Ballston or Clarendon (where we plan to end the night), are there any limitations that would be a problem if I left the car until Sunday?  Suggestions for streets with weekend parking near Carpool or Whitlows appreciated.

Re: Overnight Parking near Ballston/Clarendon

  • I think Ballston is easier to find street parking than Clarendon - it doesn't have as many restrictions.  From Carpool, I'd head into the neighborhoods on the Washington Blvd. side of Fairfax, particularly from Quincy over toward the VA Square/Clarendon direction, possibly along the tennis court/ball field.  Fewer houses = fewer restrictions.

  • You can overnight park in Ballston garage. We prefer that to the street since it's indoors (and it's so cheap).
