Operation: BLF?

So I thought I would see how everyone is doing so far.

I am doing about the same--working out on average 4 times a week (sometimes 3x, sometimes 5x, etc.)

Trying new healthy recipes and I feel like I am snacking less now that the holidays are over.

My walking buddy CW had an accident and broke some ribs but she is able to walk again at lunch so we've started that back up which will help hopefully.

It is still painful on my wrist to lift weights -- even if I just use handweights and do the lightest weights possible.  So I am still having to go easy on that.  I did go back to bodypump this week on Monday and I am still sore today.

The scale doesn't move--doesn't go down, but doesn't go up either so I am content with that at this point.  Obviously, I don't have a ton to lose so just maintaining right now is OK with me.

I added up my minutes for the month and averaged them out--I am averaging 30 minutes every day (obviously, I don't work out every day, but that is what it averages out to).  That sounds very low to me and I would like to increase it--be working out consistently 4-5x a week, rather than just 3-4x so that it averages to more like 45 minutes a day.  So that's my goal I guess.

    Stephie,

I think it's great that you're staying consistent with your weight.  And I think working up to your goal of 45 minutes a day (avg.) is a good idea too.

Starting next week, I'm going to do spinach once a day but only a cup.  I'm hoping that my body can handle that.  I'm eating two-three servings a day of fruit on average so I feel like I'm eating a little less sweets.  A CW does have an M&M dispenser in her office but it only gives out five at a time.  I stop by every other day to get a little bit of chocolate and it seems to cut out the rush towards sugary stuff.

  • Julie, I definetly had problems with GMs when I first started drinking them. It gets better.
  • The scale hasn't really moved for me either.  Which I guess is fine, as long as I am not gaining anything.  Though I weighed more today because I'm so bloated from my period :-(  (I knew I shouldn't have weighed myself today!!)

I have been consistently doing my P90X for the past three weeks without missing any days.  My co-worker and I usually walk at lunch, but haven't been able to as much this week.  I was doing very good at eating healthier, but this week has just been a bust for me.  I really don't know what happened, but I've just eaten so much junk!  So I need to cut back down on that.

My main goal is just to get more veggies into my diet.  It's something I really need to work on!

  • I don't have a clue how many minutes I have done.  I will have to check the calendar at home.

So far this week, I have worked out twice (after tonight, it will be 3 times) and we've walked twice after work the other days and then I do a bit during lunch.

Eating has gone pretty well; I have only eaten out once this week and that was on Monday for lunch because I did not plan well and I have made supper every single night.
