Re: PG/Mom Check-In
I'm 21 weeks today.. and noticeably bigger in the middle. Belly is really popping now and baby b is kicking like 20 times a day. I'm pretty sure he will get a scholarship to UF to be a kicker on the football team so he's practicing in there which is great.
I had an appt. last week for the anatomy scan and they said everything looked great and I'm measuring still right on schedule for June 4th.
On another note, 3 of my closest friends and my mom are planning a baby shower for me in April and I'm really excited, especially bc I love having all of my friends and family in one place. Also, I'm getting maternity pics taken sometime in Feb. which will be really fun, and H is actually excited for them which is weird because he hates having his photo taken usually.
I'm doing well, can't believe I am 17 weeks already! The 2nd tri is so easy so far! When I had my last Dr. appt they told me they were going to send me for a level 2 ultrasound because Down's runs in our family. So the Dr for the level 2 ultrasound said they could get me in 2 days later. I assumed I was going to have the ultrasound then, so I was super disappointed when it was more just like genetic counseling. On a good note, after my bloodwork my chances of DS are 1 in 5,000 and the other dr. didnt think it was genetic. So now my US isn't until 2/10!!
We have been working on our registry too but its so overwhelming!
We got a lot of snow this weekend so I spent a lot of time sorting through things in the future nursery. Currently, it is my office/dogs room. Trust me, there's a ton of unnecessary paperwork in there.
I'm starting to work on the registry too. I'm researching online first, making a top 3 list of each product, then going to a store to see it in person. MH gets overwhelmed with too many choices. I figured having 3 to pick from will be better for all of us.

I cannot believe I'm already into the second trimester. I have another appointment tomorrow, but expect it to be pretty routine. I think it's safe to say, morning sickness is gone! I never had it really bad this time, and I'm so thankful because I had it so bad with Kennedy. I've lost about 5 pounds somehow, but I'm eating constantly so I'm not sure how.
Kennedy is doing great, I still can't believe she's turning one in a few weeks. Party planning is well underway but I'm trying not to go crazy. I think I'm going to get her ears pierced in the next week or two, just trying to find the perfect place to do it. She's still crawling backwards, and can roll and wiggle all around but no desire to crawl forwards. She's a champion at standing with support and I keep hoping she'll start walking with assistance or cruising things, but no such luck yet. I know it's still super early for a baby with Ds to do these things, I'm just so excited to see her do it!
I still want to see the product in person. I like to test it out first.
almost 22 weeks! time is flying by and we have nothing ready for the new baby. We don't even have a name yet. DH is out of town for the next two weeks so I'm a little bummed. Hopefully when he gets back we'll get cracking on converting DS room to a big boy room and clearing out the garage and junk.

Zoe is doing great! First birthday plans are in place and Mindy is making the cake!
We are doing a Winnie the Pooh theme since she LOVES him. We are keeping it small. My parents, sister, and my MIL and FIL are coming from OOT and we are having a few close friends over too. I'm so excited!
Not much else is new! She still only has 2 teeth but it looks like more will be coming through soon. So far they're not bothering her. My friend told me her son's 2 bottom teeth came in with no problems, but the others were worse. I'm hoping it's not too bad for her. She is getting really fast at cruising. No independent steps yet, which is fine by me.
Lila is doing great. She is starting on her 2nd official word... Boobie. I am not sure that I am happy about it but I guess we are to blame for it. lol. DH always asks her if she wants boobie. She whispers "Boooo be". I was hoping that her second word would be Dada or Daddy. She is all over the place lately. I can't seem to keep her in one spot. She spends a lot of time in the evening standing up for Daddy and diving into him when shes finished, its their "thing". Just waiting for her to start walking. She can walks all over the place, as long as she is holding onto something. I swear she has super sonic hearing because if the baby gate is opened to the kitchen and she doesn't here it close, she is hightailing over there to get into the dogs bowls. I think that she thinks dog food is a treat or something (gag). We have also started the party planning.
Icing in Wiregrass was amazing at piercing Lila's ears. They got the dots right the first time around and were already piercing her 2nd ear by the time that she started to cry from the first one. She cried for like 30sec's and it was overMarried Bio
I am 27 weeks now, less than three months to go. Two of our good friends came over this past weekend and we did a complete overhaul on our garage/storage. We opened up boxes, put stuff in bins and threw away SO much stuff. It was pretty liberating, lol. So I can finally say we are on our way to getting the house ready for the little Miss.
We are meeting w/two different pediatricians this week. Hopefully next week I can report back that we have crossed "Finding a pediatrician" off of our list!
I'm glad to hear this! Do you know who did it? I've heard horror stories about some of the mall places, so I was thinking of calling and finding out when the manager is there. The other thing I've considered is a professional piercer.
Amelia is going to be 1 month in 4 days, I can't believe it! I found this article and I love it, especially the part about the kairos moments. Being a mom is the most difficult and most wonderful thing I've ever experienced.

My breastpump shipped this morning so I'm looking forward to getting going with that. I'm worried about her actually taking a bottle so I want to get started with her dad and grandma trying asap. I go back to work the 2nd week of March and I want her to be a pro by then so they don't have a hard time while I'm gone. I'm thankful to only have to go back 2 days a week, and dreading it at the same time.
Praying for good news! If it becomes an issue and you want any info let me know since I unfortunately have recent pre-e/HELLP experience.
We're doing pretty well. I'm feeling better emotionally, so that's good. I can't believe Evie is going to be 3 weeks tomorrow already. It seems like she was just born yesterday. I can't believe how big she's getting too. She looks so different from just a couple weeks ago. I'm happy she's growing well, but it makes me a little sad to see her changing so much so fast
I also miss being pregnant still, which is crazy since the end of my pregnancy wasn't great.
She's being pretty fussy today, won't sleep well like usual, and wants to eat more often. Is this the 3 week growth spurt I've heard about?
YES mine's 3 week growth spurt kicked my ass! Hang in there.
Hi All!! I know it's been a (LONG) while but I just wanted to check in with you all and share the exciting news. We are expecting
We feel extremely blessed esp. after our loss in '10.
Congrats to all the new moms and expecting moms! It was exciting to read this list.
Also, if we are friends on facebook please dont share the news on there yet, we are waiting until we are a little further along to share the great news.

Hello and congrats!! When did you change your SN? It's different, right, or am I just losing my mind? That is defintely possible. How far along are you? H & H 9 months to you!
Thanks. Haha, no it's the same SN, I just havent been on the Nest in a LONG time. I'm 11 weeks along. We are due August 10th
Its actually funny but even though I hadnt been on the board in a long while, I couldnt help but come back and share the exciting new. Im glad to still see a lot familiar "faces".
Bronze shooting for GOLD.
Congrats, 4MileLove! Great news!!!
I had a doctor's appointment last week and she didn't seem concerned that the last u/s showed baby measuring big. She doesn't think the baby will end up being impossibly huge or anything, so she said she didn't see any need for follow-up next week even though the u/s tech suggested it. So, I won't have another u/s until 38 weeks, which will come up super fast, I'm sure! And now I'm on to regular doc appointments every two weeks. I can't believe how close we're getting to the end.
I just got back to NY after a great weekend in FL for my baby shower. I have been just blown away by the generosity of our friends and family, and it was so nice to see everyone and celebrate Baby. I'm feeling all touched and emotional and grateful and all that good stuff today! I'll probably post shower pics on FB/my blog tonight or tomorrow!

We had an eventful weekend baby wise. I am doing a lot of hand me downs for nursery furniture this time around. I was given a cherry crib and glider and I bought a matching changing table and tall dresser on craigslist for $100.00. I have decided on a gender neutral bedding and have ordered it. It should be here this week! This is the theme we are going with: http://tinyurl.com/3lpxfzk . I has been fun searching ebay and the internet looking and bidding on beatrix potter stuff. I am going to go antiquing when I find out the sex (we are having an early gender u/s on February 14th) to see what I can find! So far, my whole nursery (furniture, bedding, and all) has only cost us about $260.00. We have been very fortunate to find what we have.
MacKenzie has been such a sweet baby as of late. I think now that she finally over her sickness, she is so happy again. She is copying everything and is all hugs and kisses (which is very out of character, but I love it!). She is also starting to take better naps, going to bed at a more normal time, and is even asking to go to bed when she is tired (which is incredible). I cannot believe she will be 2 in just a few short months. She is all about Minnie Mouse all the time, so we are having a Minnie themed party.
