Hi Crafters!
I've been coming over here from my normal stomping grounds on the bump lately to check out what you ladies are creating and ask for advice. So I thought I'd jump in and introduce myself.
I have one 7 month old son. I've always enjoyed crafty things but I think having a baby has motivated me even more! I mostly sew and cook (not really crafty, but I'm a DIY mama so anything I can make from scratch I try to do so). I'm trying to learn how to knit, and would like to learn how to crochet at some point.
Hope it's ok if I come hang out with you ladies more!

HI and Welcome! You must PIP something crafty before you're really in....

Ok ok twist my arm. But since you asked, I'm going to be an AW for just a sec.
Here is the blanket I made for DS. My mom made the same one for me when I was a baby and kept the pattern.
Here is a more recent one of DS on the blanket.
And, not sure if this counts as crafty, but here is the nursery we painted (with stencils) before DS was born.
Am I in now??

Yay! And thanks on all counts!
Chuicafina, I think we are twinsies! Not only are our babies almost the same age (and we now both won the same serger), but I identify with a lot of what you said. I'm also pretty DIY (as is DH), so we always have a project or three going on. I'm new here too, maybe I should introduce myself as well!
Yay DIY twinsies! And happy 7 months to your LO (tomorrow, right? I think that's what your ticker said)! I was kinda sad to go from 6 mo to 7 mo. Only 5 more months to a year
Oh and thank you for your encouragement to get the serger. I love it. Started making a diaper yesterday and then a sweatshirt for DS and it's amazing how it handles knits. Awesomesauce.
