I posted this on GP yesterday with fabulous results!
What was the song you did your first dance at your wedding to? Or, what song do you consider "your song"? Any special significance?
Ours used to be Ice Age by Pete Yorn. DH played it for me one night before we were together. We were studying in the library and scheming about all the cool stuff we would do with our lives.
However, the song we ended up dancing to was Wager All by the Decemberists. It's off their album The Hazards of Love which is an epic love story with a tragic ending. We both LOVE that album, and the song really spoke to us.

Serendipity3, South Beach, Miami, FL 2012
Awwwwwwwwwwww!
Ours was Brad Paisley "Shes Everything"
It was a song DH always said reminded him of me.
Ours was "Fly Me to the Moon" by Frank Sinatra.
We never really had a song, but since we took ballroom dancing lessons together, we wanted an up-beat, jazzy tune where we could show off our skills, lol.
Yeah he can be really cute when he wants to be.
Ours was "Love of my life" by Jim Brinkman w/Michael W. Smith.
I wanted something different & it worked perfectly for us.
That's so sweet!
Also that sound takes me back to when I was in high school/middle school haha
We had a cheesy song but it worked perfectly for us
its from the Disney movie Tangled, And the song is "I see the light". We were having a terrible time deciding a song to dance to, and we were watching the movie Tangled and it came on and we both loved it.
Cheesy I know
I love that song!
Our song was "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer. Picking a song was probably the most difficult decision of the whole wedding process! We couldn't agree on anything.

Ours too! My MIL said that I was being an AW by picking that song.
This is what I call WINNING!
Wow, I don't even know what I would have said to that.
lol Thanks
Love that song too! That's was one of my choices.

She's just jealous! Pffffft!
I told her that I didn't pick it, her son did. She didn't have much to say about it after that... not to my face anyway.
And I think she was jealous. I stole her son away from her
We danced to "All My Life" by Linda Rondstadt. I remember trying to dream something up and not really having anything jump out at us or that was especially significant for us. We heard this on the radio during our engagement and were both kinda' singing along, and I mentioned that I had always liked the song. DH agreed and we were like "well let's just use this then!"

Green Is the Colour by Pink Floyd. I know what you're thinking...just listen

DH and I dated for 7 years before getting engaged and I remember one of the first conversations we had was him saying he wanted a Pink Floyd song played at his wedding. I later learned that he loved this song and when I listened, so did I. Also green is my favorite color and was our wedding color, so it was all perfect!
"our song" is Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars, so the string quartet played it for me to walk down the aisle to.
