Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

quick life update
About 2 weeks ago I sent out an email to 3 companies about any open positions. All 3 had openings, and I did interviews on Tuesday and Wednesday. 2 of the interviews went great, one was probably the worst one I've ever been to. The 2 that went well said they would let me know by Friday, the other one wanted a second interview.
One of the places already contacted me and wants to hire me! Its closer to home, I'd get paid more, and there's a lot of room to move up in the company. 2 drawbacks: 1) Its working with older kids, and 2) we wouldn't be able to move closer to H's family like he wants.
The other company would be closer to his family, but they didn't know if I could advance there. They said they'd try to come up with a plan because they really want me. So we'll see what they have to offer tomorrow!
SOOOO excited though. I've felt like I'm stuck since September. They hired someone for a position I could do and effectively blocked me from getting a higher position. I need this change.

That's great news! I think you and your H really need to talk about it but coming from someone who has been promoted before in a "we'll make room for you thing" and someone who's gotten passed up for BS reasons I can tell you when they don't have something like that and they're "trying" to get something to you my gut reaction is you won't advance past that part because it will always be a battle to "create" something new for you even if you deserve it whereas the place that's closer to you now you know you can.
