Care package help....

I have a box half-filled and I need to find something else to put in it before I send it off... right now it has a couple little things I bought in Paris, a couple bags of V-day candy... a few deodorants, a toothbrush.... but there is still room, and my husband denies needing anything (no to socks, boxers, etc.) No books because he doesn't have time to read - same for movies.

Any fun ideas on what I could use to fill the rest of the box?

Re: Care package help....

  • Does he like any magazines?

My 'nicer item' in my v-day care package while I was gone was a fluffy new towel.  The laundry over there was done pretty harshly, so it was nice to have a decent (but inexpensive) towel to add to the rotation.  Does he use a bath puff?  That's also something that would take up space without being something he needs to lug home at the end of his tour.

  • Hey I like the idea of a new towel!

He's not really a magazine guy... maybe a travel mag wouldn't be a bad idea though!  I wonder if any stores around here have anything for Chinese New Year.... that was my other thought.

  • J always asks for a loofa on a stick.  He has issues with his back breaking out while he's over there and that thing helps tremendously.  Like Ojo said, towels are a great thing to send.  A new pillow case, pictures, a recordable card, special snacks, magazines, non-aerosol air fresheners and canned fruit are always on the top of my suggestion lists.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Ditto on the town and pillow case! Does he use an iPod? I would send MH a burned CD of new songs to put on his iPod since he couldn't get them over there.
