We've going from Amsterdam to Paris via train...but have a dilemna. We have to check out of our AMS apt at 8am due to the owner's schedule (which is fine). The train from AMS to Paris is ~3.5hrs. There are trains at 8:16am, 9:16am, 11:16am and 1:16pm.
If we took the 8 or 9 train, we'd get to Paris around 1pmish...however, we can't check into our Paris apt until 3pm or so. Otherwise, we could take the 11 train and check into the Paris apt right when we get there, but then we have 3hrs with luggage in AMS. It appears that in either city; we'd be stuck to have our luggage with us for 2 hours or so.
Any ideas if either Amsterdam Centraal station or Paris Nord has lockers we could rent with our luggage (if so, would you trust leaving your stuff there)? Or would you just "set up shop" with your luggage at a nearby coffee shop? WWYD?
Otherwise; another option (which seems kind of crazy and like the typical tourist trying to do too much, but H would be happy about) would be to take an 8am or 9am train to Brussels; arrive at say 11am get off and find a nearby pub and grab food and beer (H is really into beer and regrets we aren't including Belgium in our trip); and then get on a 2pm train so we get into Paris at 3:30ish.

I have a question for you, what website are you using for the train tickets? This trip sounds fun. Still trying to plan out ours.
I don?t know about the luggage thing but I would do the 3rd option. My Hubs likes beer and all that and I would do that option for him.

In my experience there is a "left luggage" or lockers at most train stations. It's usually pretty cheap.
The museums in London will also hold bags for a small fee, so perhaps you can check out that type of thing as well if that is what you are interested in doing while waiting in either city.

Thalys is the train and www.thalys.com is the official website; however there are other sites that sell tickets too (but beware, most likely their more expensive on other sites). The third option does seem fun; it also pretty much doubles the cost of the commute

If it were me, I would take the 9am train and have breakfast before. Put bags in a locker in Paris and have lunch then go to the apartment.
BUT first I would call/email the apartment in Paris and see if they will do an early check in for you around 1:30 or 2pm. Usually, when I have done this people have been accommodating and it can't hurt to ask.

Thanks! It does sound the easiest and we can sleep in the train if needed.
