Yayyyyy Friday!
I wish the weather would cooperate though. This morning it was sort raining when I left my house, freaking down-pouring the whole way along the highway, freezing rain when we got off the highway, and then full on mixed precipitation snow/sleet/rain by the time we got out of Starbucks. WTF?
Tonight should be pretty low key. I might run out to the mall (or maybe do that tomorrow morning) and maybe bake up some fun cupcakes. Tomorrow we're headed up to my step sisters place to take advantage of a special family sale at the store she works at (Canadian Tire, sort of general stuff, tools, hardware, sporting goods, small furniture, paint) and then have dinner with them. Then we're off to Tim and Shannon's for a party.
Sunday, sleeping in and work on the house!
What does everyone have on the go this weekend?
Re: TGIF!
Morning! I have a snow/ice/rain day today, so I am home. It is really just raining, but I'll take it. I am going to work from home today trying to align our new curriculum with the new Common Core Standards that are coming in the next year or so. Nothing like redoing work that was just done. Blah! But at least I get to count the day for my extra contract day...
Ed is going to visit his brother tonight so I have the night to myself. I plan to just veg out and maybe do some laundry. We have no big plans all weekend which I'm happy about...

TGIF!
Tonight we are loading the boys up and heading to get groceries and go visit my grandfather. If any one has any extra vibes to send that would be great. My grandfather found out he has bladder cancer last week and is having surgery at 11 today to see if they can remove most of it.
DH will be working days this weekend. Tomorrow Me, my sister, and the boys are going to go to a consigment sale, take some stuff back to babies r us, and then go back to the hospital to visit my grandfather and make my grandmother go eat or at least walk around.
THe good news is my grandfathers brother from Michigan and his wife are here. They haven't seen preston since he was just a couple of months old so I am excited to see them again. Of course they brought the kids all kinds of junk. Jordan loves them. They are actually going to be staying for 2 weeks.
Sunday will be a low key day. That is always my cleaning relaxing day.
Crystal - lots of vibes for your grandfather. I hope the surgery goes well.
Lastnight DH and brought wood into the house after the boys went to bed. It had to be done since there were only 2 pieces left on the rack. It always goes so much quicker when we complete the task together.
Also I made my 10% goal weight yesterday. I may or may not have done a little happy dance in front of everyone. I am at 23.3 lbs lost! YAY!
Tonight will be low key. Tomorrow, DH will go grocery shopping and then we haven't decided if we are going to a friends house or not. It is kid friendly but it starts about 1/2 hour before the boys "normal" bed time. I can push that for about an hour, but holy crankiness will appear. Sunday I have a birthday party to bring the boys to, and then typical household chores.
Woo! Go Kats! That's fantastic!
I have a PA day today, so in the spirit of Getting Things Done, Phil took the day off, rented a u-haul and we're going on a massive shopping trip to Ikea and Costco. New bed, wardrobe, carpet, plus a ton of small stuff and our bi-annual stock-up of stuff from Costco (gigantic bags of flour, toilet paper, sugar, etc). We're also in the market for a small chest freezer.
Now, the question really is: how are we going to get the stuff up the 12 stairs from the ground floor to our apartment? I'm not scared about the two of us being able to lift stuff, it's just that I don't think I probably should be lifting stuff.
Phil is out meeting a friend for drinks tonight, and I'm going to get the last of my marking done so I can get report cards finished for next week!

Crystal - vibes for your grandfather.
kats - congrats on making your 10% goal! That is fantastic!
Today I have lunch with a friend and I'm hoping that will help my Friday move right along. Otherwise our weekend is pretty much wide open. We have a few things that are a possibility but nothing set in stone. I could really use a nice quiet weekend so I'm pretty psyched. I do have the typical housework and laundry to keep me busy though.
I wish I was super excited it was Friday, but to be honest, I'm not looking forward to the weekend with the hubs. We've been arguing a lot this week, and it's just getting worse. Last night, I had to leave and go to my friend's house for a bit just to vent and run away. DH keeps choosing his job over everything else in his life, and it's getting frustrating and really wearing thin. I understand he has a great career and loves his job, and even that his job really supports us for the most part. However, there is no job worth losing your family over in my opinion. I'm not sure how much longer I can do the single mom thing all week and keep my sanity. I'm sure it's just a phase and crazy hormone issues, but for now, I'm just upset.
Tonight I am hoping to finish up a sewing project and some crochet hats I've been working on. I feel like such an old lady. haha.
Tomorrow is a card tournament at a friend's house, so hopefully I'll have some money to bring home from that. If not, and extra 5 pounds from all the food I plan on eating. Yumm!
Good morning, ladies.
Congrats, Kats - that's a happy-dance worthy achievement.
Hang in there, Snoopy - it will get better.
I'm working tomorrow, but looking forward to Sunday and some grilling. Today might be rough, with three meetings and *maybe* some more information about the corporate merger.
Have a great day, everyone!
Pish posh. You're pregnant, not sick. If lifting that stuff was something you'd do before, do it now. If you start to get light headed, sit down and take it easy, but there's no reason for you not to lift things. Unless you doc has told you otherwise (and for valid reasons, not just "pregnant women shouldn't lift more than 20 lbs" BS) giv'er.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
I went to bed early last night and feel a bit better this morning. I'm hoping I can beat this cold back without a trip to the doctor. I have been getting the home organization emails that Ringy mentioned earlier this month. I haven't done any of them yet, but I think I'll tackle the pantry when I get home. I was going to do it last night, but I just felt too puny.
Saturday, we want to go to the firing range and I need to run some last minute errands to get ready for Sunday. I may have to cook things too, since I don't know what food I'm going to bring yet.
Sunday is church and then my launch party! I'm very excited. Sunday evening will be dinner at SIL's as usual. Somewhere in all that, we need to do laundry and go to the grocery store for the rest of the week.

kats - congrats! That's a great job.
I'm just counting down the minutes until I can get out of the office - only about 15min left now! Then to the airport and off to the Maldives! I am so looking forward to this trip. I'm not sure what internet access we'll have, and I'm going to try to avoid it anyways, so I'll see you guys in a week!

Morning ladies. I'm sooooo excited that it is finally Friday. This week has seemed to go on FOREVER.
Congrats Katz on the weight loss. That's a huge achievement. Anything special you are doing to celebrate?
Crystal, lots of vibes headed to your grandpa and your family.
Yesterday evening was pretty low key. B and I ran a few errands, make a quick dinner, and did some laundry. I wanted to go to sleep early, but B's step mom called to talk to me since we haven't talked in ages, and just when I got off the phone with her, I got an awful nosebleed. By the time that was under control, it was past my bedtime.
Today should be an ok day at work. I'm telling the head of my dept today, which I'm dreading, but it must be done, and waiting is only going to make it worse. Then I'm having lunch with a friend. I'm super excited to tell her, but I feel kinda bad too. Last time she and I had lunch, she asked how the TTC process was going for us, and I blatantly lied. She just had a kid last May and avoided me for weeks before she told me, so I know she'll understand.
Aside from that, this weekend should be a good combination of getting things done and relaxing. Now that things have calmed down at work, I'm determined not to work the entire weekend.
Hope everyone has a good one.
Hey everyone!
Last night was pretty chill - yoga, sushi, and some cleaning/packing. This afternoon I'm leaving work early - around 3:30 - and hope to get some more packing done. Tomorrow morning H and I are doing some work for a friend who has his own business, and then going on a Big Ten bar crawl around Fenway. I'm excited to wear my Michigan gear :-)
Sunday is the big move - finally! I can't wait to have everything into the new place. It will be such a relief!
Hope everyone has a great Friday and nice weekend!
Crystal - hope your grandpa's surgery goes well
Kats - Congrats on your making it to your goal, that's awesome
Snoopy - ::::Hugs:::
Sushi - Have a great trip, I can't wait to see pictures
TGIF! Today I'm working until noon and then I'm going to try to deliver a subpoena to a lady who's been avoiding service. I'm going to pretend I'm a flower delivery person delivering flowers to her work, should be interesting. Tonight I'm meeting Jason's cousin for dinner, she's thinking of filing for divorce and needs some to talk to.
Tomorrow will be sleeping in doing some work around the house. Sunday will be a relaxing lazy day and dinner with my IL's.
Crystal- Vibes headed your way.
Jane and Kaesha- Good luck with the moves.
I have a test here a in couple hours. I am doing some last minute cramming right now. Last night was crazy at work. I hope I am home by at least 8 tonight. This weekend I am planning on catching up and getting ahead on homework. I might do a breast cancer walk with my MIL.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Crystal - Prayers that your grandpas surgery goes well and that he has a fast recovery.
Kat- Congratulations! That is fantastic! ::High Five::
Snoopy - ::hugs:: it will get better.
Sushi - Enjoy your trip!!
Today is going to be super busy. I am working 6 hours at one job and than I am helping a friend and working 5 more hours for her company this evening. I am not going to be done till 10pm. Tomorrow is going to be a much needed break.
I am really excited for this month. This is the first month we are going to be trying from the beginning of my cycle. I know it probably wont happen but I can't help but be optimistic.
Yay for Friday but I work all weekend. Tonight I'm 12-8 (just heading out the door) and then I'm on call. Hoping I get no calls but I've been fortunate my past 2 on calls and gotten no calls so I'm due.
This morning I got to the gym and then I went to the fitness store and bought a treadmill. I'm so excited. I'll have to take pictures once it's here and all set up.
Have a great day.
Kat - that is awesome! Way to go.
Crystal - vibes for your grandpas surgery. Hope it goes well.
This week has sure dragged. I'm happy it's Friday but I have a ton of work to do and I'm having a hard time getting focused. No plans for tonight but I want to go to the gym. If by some miracle I don't catch a ton of traffic I'll go to Zumba at 6:30. If not I'll just do cardio.
Tomorrow I'm going to spinning class in the morning, then grocery shopping. DH and I are going out for dinner, just the two of us, and to a close friend's 30th birthday party. We're debating leaving LO with my parents overnight since the party is at 9 and that's her bedtime but DH really doesn't want to.
Sunday we'll go to mass, then breakfast and to the IL's in the afternoon.
Ugh now that I typed all that out it feels like I won't have any time for cleaning or laundry. Hope you all have a great weekend.
Crystal - Lots of thoughts for your family!
Kats - You're awesome! Congrats!
If I can survive today there's only ONE week left at this place!
Tonight DH and I are going to a bowling event for one of his vendors. These events always get out of hand and a little to much alcohol is had by all. We decided to get a hotel and role with it this time, since they all want to celebrate me getting a new job!
This weekend should just be house stuff. My washer is broke, so I need to find a handyman - I miss the days when my dad lived close by!
