Poll: outdoor adventures

I can't wait until it's time to hang out outside again.
[Poll]
I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

Re: Poll: outdoor adventures

  • It's probably pretty obvious which one I'd pick :)  Though I do really love white water rafting and would love to try bungee jumping!

  • I don't like heights, and I'm not a strong swimmer, so I'm going to have to go with a strawberry daiquiri by the pool.

  • This just reminded me of the time I was organizing a white water rafting trip for a client of mine.  I actually got black listed in Maine.  I am being so serious.  I got in a huge fight with the company I had originally booked with, and they gave my information to all of the other white water rafting companies....no one would let me book with them.

LOL, seriously?  What happened?!  I imagine you must have been a pretty tough broad given your former professional environment but you're also such a sweetheart I just can't picture you being mean and getting into a fight!

  • If I'm being adventurous, I'd go kayaking or hiking (like on a mountain, but a regular trail).  Nothing wrong with hanging out in the back yard, though.
  • LadyE, I just tried to like your post, heh. And also, Urban Outfitters sells pint glasses with that graphic on them.

  • Where is your adventurous spirit, people?!  More than half of respondents just wanna sit in their backyard?  Boo!

    Ah, whatever, I still love y'all :)

  • I want to be adventurous but I end up being scared of heights... and my asthma gets so bad when I hike. I'm adventurous at heart.

Oh you have no idea!  I was a super b!tch back then...especially when I wasn't getting what I wanted.  I threatened that company with a law suit....I was crazy.  Looking back it was so silly.  Anyways...no white water rafting for me!

  • I don't like heights, so that pretty much excludes most adventure-y things.

About 5 years ago, my BIL got us all sky diving trip tix. I was horrified because that is not something I would EVER in a million years do. I am also not a fan of DH doing it because if something (god forbid) happens, his life insurance policy is void.

But it's been 5 years and no one has taken the trip.

Also, my annoying FIL bitched and moaned so much for the following year that HE didn't get a trip to go so BIL got him one, though I think BIL had wanted us to do this as a sibling trip. And guess what? FIL hasn't gone yet either.

I'll build a bonfire and bbq and drink beer in my back yard anyday lol
