Thank you ladies for your suggestions! I met with the Dietician on Wednesday. I was thrilled with the meeting. First of all, I loved that she had the cutest stuffed broccoli doll in her office!
She loved that I brought two weeks of my SparkPeople food journal. (thanks ch ch ch chia). We went through them and she could start pinpointing some bad trends.
Also, we discussed her food philosophy (great idea eiluj) and she seems very reasonable. She said that if cheese brings me joy, I should work cheese into the routine. And, it did not have to be FF!
I loved that she did not just give me food menus, but we went through them, made substitutions, etc. She made me outline what I was going to have for dinner and then the next day's breakfast. For me, that is so helpful!
We made a standing weekly appointment for the next two months. Keep your fingers crossed!
Next week I am going to bring in some of my favorite dinner recipes and we are going to tweak them!
My phone rang this morning and it was her following up with me! She gave me some great hints and is overall very positive and encouraging!
Re: Follow Up re: Dietician
Out of curiosity, what were some "bad trends" that she identified? Was there anything that surprised you, like where you thought you were doing OK but she thought it was a no-no?
I love the idea of tweaking stuff you already make. Just like Cooking Light!

she sounds awesome. i love that she called this AM for a follow up.
I was eating too many nuts. She recommend only a half ounce a day. Not enough variety. I tend to eat the same thing every work day. Too many calories for dinner. She switched it around so it is a larger lunch and lighter dinner. She added carbs back in, but only whole grains. There were some more. I need to look at my notebook when I get home.
RIght back at you
