uh, I did not shave my legs this morning.
That's all I got.
I called one of my SIL's (we'll call her D) yesterday to find out when our pg SIL's shower would be (pg SIL will be K). D is hosting. Anyway I was hoping it would be the weekend of my bday so I had an excuse not to go. Turns out there was some drama with that whole thing. K went on FB and invited over 100 people to the shower. D was PISSED beyond belief because that cost is just not feasible. There's more to it than that and basically D feels used and taken advantage of.
D wanted to just cancel the whole thing but couldn't because she felt obligated and couldn't just back out. Later that day she tells me that after talking to her DH they've come to the decision that they could not host afterall because taxes are hitting them hard and also the trips back and forth to Utah to see MIL is taking a toll on them financially. Baby shower is cancelled!
My confession in this one, I am gloating inside! I am so glad that karma is hitting my SIL for throwing in my face that she was pregnant and I was not. I mean come on, how do you do that to someone to their face while they are in the process of miscarrying and have full knowledge of it.

Amy....I am not sure of the last time I shaved my legs. Its on my to do list for tomorrow. haha
I have not done so since last Friday and likely won't until next Friday when I have my next doctor's appointment.

I'm just in a funk about my job and that makes me not want to be here, it's been a difficult week.

I am surprisingly calm today, I feel kind of zen... which I am sure will be a pleasant surprise for my DH. Poor DH has dealt with hormonal crazy person for weeks now. I will fully admit I have not been a nice person to live with and I feel really bad because DH hasn't said anything and just taken it all in stride.
I'm eating a large oreo mcflurry and I don't feel the least bit bad about it.
I may also have a milkshake for dinner. I may feel bad about that... but probably not.
2012 Reading Challenge
I have no intention of trying to find board scores from 1965 for an alum. Yes, I know you took them. No, we do not have your f-ing scores from 45 years ago. I understand you are moving (presumably to RETIRE someplace warm) but give me an effing break. Don't be mad at me because no one has had an answer for you all morning.

I think DH is on his period. He is moooooodddy this morning and based on his FB posts, he still is.
I refuse to include my cousin and his girlfreind in any recent family events and I don't feel bad about it. Now my reasoning, I admit, is not the best.....but I am a bitter gal lately and I can't help it.
They just had their second baby in less than a little over 2 years (when we have been trying off & on for over 3 years) and, she refuses to get married now (after buying an e-ring and a dress) so that she can stay on medicaid & food stamps, and they take advantage of my other cousin for free babysitting. She is loud and obnoxious and quite often downright rude.
I just can't handle being around them......

Second confession, I don't want to interview for the position they called me about. I would prefer to stay where I am and master this role first. My position requires me to know everything accounting related for the dept and I think that's much more beneficial than being in a position where I just do one thing. It's less pay of course but in the long run I think it's better. In this position I have the potential to become supervisor of multiple departments but I need to be well rounded which is what I'm working on now. Oh and a 6 minute commute isn't bad!

I had McDonald's for dinner last night with a chocolate milk shake and it was divine. The milk shake helped minimize my heartburn.
I haven't gotten my hair cut or highlighted since Oct 30th, the day that crazy snow storm hit CT. I need both BADLY right now and plan to go this weekend.
We told my parents-in-law our name ideas yesterday after our u/s and they now think we're having a girl b/c they hate our boy name ideas. A small part of me hopes we have a boy, so we can use my fav boy name. My MIL's response to it, was trying to say it and then saying, "Seriously?!" to Alexi over and over.
Hmmm, I'd like to know what book it is. Maybe I'd like to meet these guys too!
