Suggestions (Books to Read)

Given the post below, What books would you suggest that I read that could help with the lingering issues from my divorce? The counseling is helping and I think being on my own for awhile will help but I think I'm going to wait a bit. I would feel really bad doing anything right now while he's out of commission from his surgery.

Re: Suggestions (Books to Read)

  • How to be an adult in relationships

I *think* that's the title. It's awfully close to that, my counselor recommended it and I got to look at the table of contents in her office and it looks awesome.

  • What kind of books are you looking for?  Is this about your relationship with Z?  Honestly, it seems to me like you're trying to force this.  Maybe you're just not that into him but are trying to blame your mixed feelings on your marriage.  I've done this before and it never works out well.  Trust your intuition and feelings about it.

No, I'm definitely not looking for anything to help with Z but more so for myself. I was wondering if there is anything that will help me "reconnect" with my feelings rather than disconnecting myself. I hate this numb feeling. It wasn't until recent that I realized I had this sort of disconnect with others. Most of which I was happy for as they were cheaters, losers, etc.
