Baby Fever - Level 10 Emergency

I am so ready.

I am so NOT ready.

GAH!

I said, 40 lbs. I am at 45.

DH and I had a talk about my oral surgery and how that would play into it the other day, if dental insurance approved it we'd wait (debate on if they Dr. I went to is a covered provider), if they denied it, we'd submit it to medical (since they were boney impacted) and try to have a kid in the same insurance deductible calendar year (since we are on a high deduct plan).

Well, I got the paper work, they denied it and it is going to Medical. If we want a kid in 2012, we better start working now.

We kind of want to buy a house. DH rather have the house, I'd rather have the kid.

This is my biggest issue: I'm having so much fun with fashion, and I am nervous about gaining weight back ... but I can have fun with clothes while pregnant and I can lose the weight now that my mentality is right, right?

  • Tough decisions. I have no advice, but I hope the decision comes to you easily.

  • Keep up with the dancing and working out and eating healthy while pregnant! I kept working out and lifting weights while pregnant and ran dog agility even on my due date! Just have to keep it up after baby. If you think you can continue working out with a newborn then DO IT!
  • I think if you are both ready, go for it!! You can definitely stay healthy and rock cute maternity clothing during your pregnancy.

I am nervous to about losing the weight not, and then TTC this summer. However, my plan is to continue my healthy ways during this pregnancy so I don't gain as much, and hope that it comes off quicker next time.

  • I think your weight loss mind set will stick.  I wish that I had lost the baby weight from number one before number two was in the picture and I feel like I have double the work.  You did really well on weight gain first go round so you will be in great shape (literally).

    Now go ride that pony.

  • I know this sounds nuts - but I am totally in your shoes right now too. We have said we want a kid after the oral surgery...it applies to our deductible (HDP)...I am worried about losing and gaining weight with surgery an getting pregnant since I worked so hard to get here... It's hard! But you can't keep waiting on stuff in life to have another...you can keep up the healthy habits!
  • I'm a firm believer that there will never be a "perfect" time to have a baby. There will always be something else. I've also learned that you can plan the timing all you want, but there are no guarantees with pregnancy. Go for it if you're both ready. There are some cute maternity clothes out there.
