First, the AW...I made this Lolly Wolly Doodle knock-off for my friend's daughter. It turned out really well--peasants are so easy to make after all. If you are interested, pics of the original and more details are in my blog.

Now for the Boo Hoo--I think I broke my serger
The lower looper tension dial is not working and it is just making a big old mess. It is still under the "limited" warranty so I guess I'll be hunting down an authorized dealer to see if this is covered and how much it is going to cost to fix.
Now that I am used to having it around, I really am bummed about sewing without it. I mean, I like serged seams
Yes, I know it sounds spoiled and immature, but I am not a happy girl...
Re: AW PIP :) and a Boo Hoo :(
I love the ruffle cuff and the fabrics look great together!
When you sew like you do......a serger is a must! Nothing spoiled about it.
That dress looks great! I love the fabric.
I hope your serger gets well soon, I don't know how I could live without mine!
ETA: I just looked at your blog and I think yours is even better than the original, and you took better pictures too
Sorry about your serger. French seams are not too hard, but definitely not as quick as serged seams.
Very cute dress.
I can't say anything about the serger, I still don't have one - all french seams here.
I LOVE the dress, and I super love the fabric. I am gonna check out the blog to see if you list where you got it.
Awesome job
My Blog
See, french seams on sleeves and ruffles end up so bulky for me
As for the fabric...I bought it off fabric.com (with a coupon I might add)--it's all over etsy as well. There are a few other colors it comes in.
My Valentine Bookends (2~13~13, 2~15~09)
The dress is darling. I love the print.
Sorry about your serger, too
