I'm doing my best to get myself back into shape. Last fall I started jogging a bit and have continued that on my treadmil this winter; however I needed something else because I was bored and I wanted a little strength training. For those looking for a great workout video I'd highly recommend the Insanity series. It is from the makers of P90X, but I like this a lot more. Each video is about 35-45 minutes and I'm dripping with sweat by the end of them. I feel I get a great workout in a short amount of time.
I should also add, I don't do them as instructed...i alternate a video with a day on the treadmil. My neighbor does do the whole series 6 days a week and likes it - i just need more variation, i guess ![]()

I think carpet is fine...if you sweat a lot, it may be worth it find a cheap piece of carpet from Lowes or something to throw down and roll up when you work out. Or maybe a big towel, sheet, or something along those lines would be fine too. Ultimately if you have clean shoes, I think you'd be fine.
Insanity does not require any other equipment - it's all body weight exercises, which is awesome
