Super Bowl party plans?

Since the Pats will be heading to the Super Bowl XLVI in just a couple of weeks, I figured I might as well ask what your plans are! Any special dishes you'll be making for the big game? Will you be attending a party, or watching at home? Or, will you eschew the whole thing and be doing something else come February 5th?

Re: Super Bowl party plans?

  • We have friends who we try to watch every Sunday Pats game with throughout the season. So, we'll be heading down to their house to watch the game. So, even though there are other invites for parties, we'll be watching the Super Bowl with our regular crew.

I've made these Touchdown Poke Cupcakes in the past. My favorite combo is chocolate with raspberry jello.

  • Definitely watching the game, we are very excited! But no plans for doing anything special. We thought about inviting people over, but our TV is super small compared to most people's... so it seems like a silly idea. We'll still enjoy ourselves, though!

Usual football food in this house is chips and guacamole during halftime... but that's not really festive. We're so boring! haha.

  • We are closing on our new house on Tuesday, so I'm mostly just excited to be able to watch it in the new place!

I always make buffalo chicken dip, pepperoni bread, and cocktail meatballs. Healthy, I know haha

  • we will probably be at my in-laws house.  We leave at half time to get the kids to bed at a decent hour though.

  • DH's friends said they have to come over to watch...tradition.  I'm kind of hoping no wives come so I can go upstairs and watch end in bed...ha!  I just hate starting teh week off being tired (have to get up pretty early) and there are some important things going on at work.  As far as food, the guys can bring whatever and I will eat that.  Dh likes to cook, maybe try to get him to do something I am in the mood for when the time comes.  Not really into going all out this year.  Boring, I know...
  • Liam's second birthday is thursday. We booked a flight for me dad to come up from Florida for that. He's here until Monday so I am super excited for my family to watch the super bowl together. We, too, plan to make some less than healthy foods. We don't all get together very often so I am beyond excited for it.

  • Yay Pats!!!  We're going to my brother's house for a little while before the game, but will probably come home when it starts.  My bro is making chili and some other stuff; I am bringing a taco dip that I saw on skinnytaste.com and I may make Oreo Cupcakes - so yummy!
