What would you do..

What would you do if you had the freedom to work almost any job that you wanted. I have the opportunity to work several jobs that I would die to have, how would you pick and why would you pick it?

I am feeling overwhelmed with all the choices- I guess.

Re: What would you do..

  • I would think about what would make me the happiest, feel the most secure, be the best working environment, and give me the best work/life balance. Think about what made you unhappy in previous roles and how these other prospective positions might compare.

  • can't think of better advice than what was posted above.

    you're in an enviable position!!

    can you give more details?

  • Also basically agreeing with first poster.  Which job will make you the happiest and pays enough for you to live within the means you would like to?  Also consider which positions give you the likelihood to move up in the company if that is something that is important to you.  Think about where you can see yourself in 5 or 10 years, and which jobs match up with that.
  • I also agree with the above. What are your priorities in life and in the working world? Which job will allow you to meet the priorities you have? I would look for something that will offer personal and professional growth, something that will give me great experience as well as the ability to move up within the company and allow me to have my pick of jobs if I didn't stay. Salary is important to many people and so is the ability to maintain family structure if you have one or the if you are TTC to have children, etc.
  • I'd look at not only what made me happy now, but would allow me to advance in my career/salary as time went on. Forest and trees, as it were.
