Re: Meal Planning!
I'm doing a 4 day diet my trainer gave me because it will jumpstart my weight loss. so there isn't any meals I am making for the next few day. Tim will just fend for himself, he is home late most of those days anyway. I still haven't figured out what I am making for the end of the week.
We are going grocery shopping today. so, I guess I am also looking for inspiration
Good luck!!! What is this 4 day plan? What happens on the 5th day and beyond? Please share!!!
I'm curious about the 4-day plan too! I did the 4-Day Diet once, from the nutritionist on Celebrity Fit Club, whatever his name was, and I GAINED weight. I was so pissed!
Our meals for this week:
Sunday- buffalo chicken pockets with corn, edamame, and avocado salad
Monday- steaks and crock pot baked potatoes (excited to see how those work!)
Tuesday- tacos
Wednesday- stuffed pork chops (ricotta and spinach), green beans with sauteed onions and bacon
Thursday- chile lime chicken burgers (trader joe's) ad fries
Friday- BLT salad (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/sunny-anderson/blt-sandwich-salad-recipe/index.html)
What's the 4 day diet?
Sunday- meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn
Monday- either pizza or soup
Tuesday-Thursday- smart ones (it's only me so I don't bother to cook)
Friday- loaded potato soup
Saturday- buffalo chicken chili
Sunday- going to a friends for the superbowl

I would be so pissed if I gained weight! There are a lot of them out there, so I guess it all depends.
4day diet stuff posted for those of you who want to know.
Ooh, I love planning out our meals for the week. It relieves so much pressure when I can just look at the plan, and know what's for dinner every night.
TONIGHT: Montreal spiced chicken, roasted potatoes and carrots, mixed veggies
MONDAY: Chicken cacciatore (but I have my own version. No breading on my chicken)
TUESDAY: Beef stew
WEDNESDAY: Shepherd's Pie (I've never made this for DH before, but I'm trying it out to see if he likes it)
THURSDAY: Cajun chicken, mashed potatoes, salad
FRIDAY: ? (I'm leaving this open in case we want to eat out this week)
SATURDAY: Chicken cordon bleu (another new recipe I'm trying. Hopefully it works out)

I like planning/shopping for the week too. A lot less to worry about during the week when I am working.
Sunday- H's mom invited us over for dinner tonight
Monday- Beef Taco Cups and yellow rice
Tuesday- Crispy Parmesan Orange Pork (Rachael Ray recipe), au gratin potatoes and green beans
Wednesday- fast food (busy night)
Thursday- Crockpot Cheeseburger Soup
Friday- Sandwiches/Leftovers- I am going out of town for the weekend, so we are just going to eat something that's already around, so I don't have to cook before I go
Saturday- I will stop and get Subway on my way back into town
I'm also making brown sugar blondies from Pinterest this week sometime
I've started a board on Pinterest for my weekly meals:

That is what we're eating this week, and then some steak/potatoes that Rocky will be cooking one of these nights.
We'll end up hand in hand

annagtz, everyone's gotta start somewhere. Trust me, my first meals that I used to create seemed Mickey Mouse too, but it takes practice and just learning what tastes good together, and what works. You'll get there.
As for my own meal planning, everyone knows I never really PLAN meals, just kinda guesstimate what I might want to eat that week, see what we actually have and what i'd need, and go with it, lol. So far on the ideas list we've got chicken stir-fry, (skinny) loaded baked potato soup, fajitas, probably spaghetti or some other sort of pasta with spaghetti sauce (we always have that, lol), oven fried chicken, and probably some other stuff that we'll come up with at the last minute. :P
Sunday: take-out
Monday: leftover meatloaf & sides from Saturday's dinner
Tuesday: out to dinner for my birthday!
Wednesday: sesame chicken, rice, steamed broccoli
Thursday: grilled lemon chicken breasts, baked potatoes, salad
Friday: sausage with garlic lentils, steamed broccoli and cauliflower
Saturday: out to dinner with the IL's
Sunday: Cooking Light Thai Coconut Chicken soup (only 228 calories for 1 1/3 cups!)
Monday: Curry Pork chops and broccoli at a friends
Tuesday: MY LAST CHEERLEADING obligation (so a sandwich for dinner)
Wednesday- Sausage and peppers on the grill with no bread
Thursday: Dinner at my sister's Panang chicken curry
Friday: Steak and sweet potatoes
Saturday- Penne al a vodka with chicken, rolls, salad (I am hosting a bridal shower at my house)
We'll end up hand in hand
Somewhere down on the sand
Just me and you
I went grocery shopping last week so this week I'm going to stretch what is left and what I have in the freezer. That's my disclaimer for these incredibly random meals
Monday- Vegetarian Chili (DH's recipe - it's soooo spicy!) & fresh juice for a cool down
Tuesday- Tofu & broccoli stir fry over soba noodles
Wednesday- Spaghetti with a side of green beans and carrots
Thursday- grilled cheese or something else that takes 5 minutes to make - I will be starving when I get home from yoga around 9!
Friday- something in the crockpot, I got my Vegetarian Slow Cooker book out last night and started looking for something good. (am I the only person that still uses physical cookbooks?)
