Good Morning, Happy Sunday!

Good morning all! What is on your football free Sunday? Jesse and I went out for Spanish food with his parents last night...I had to hit the gym extra long knowing what I was going to eat for dinner. Garlic shrimp, chorizo, seafood paella and a glass of sangria!  I had only one cup serving size of my paella and one glass of sangria.  Historically, I would eat 1/2 my dinner plate and drink 3~4 glasses.  Jesse and his parents were so proud of my self discipline!

Today, Jess is off on a 65 mile bike ride (yes actually peddling)  with some friends by his parents house. I sit in a friends apartment writing reports (and posting on TN) while they ride. We are off to brunch with friends once they are done riding.

Other than that...meal planning, shopping and food prep! What about you?!

Re: Good Morning, Happy Sunday!

  • we're going out to dinner with some people from class as well as my sister & her husband. we (me & classmates) have to go to a restaurant & critique the service. so we're doing it all together, & since my BIL knows the family who runs the restaurant we're going to, i figured why the heck not invite them too.

it should be. i need lots of fun to keep me occupied right now

  • 65 miles?!?!? Did you know you married an insane person?? lol

My family is leaving in a little while then H and I are meeting his cousins for beer brunch. I have to grocery shop after that, and hopefully get myself to the gym. Maybe just take Lacie for a long walk since it's soooo nice. If it ever actually gets cold in February, it's gonna SUCK!

I know this!!  When we were engaged he and his friends participated in the "Longest Day Ride." They rode from New York State, all the way through NJ and ended at the furtherest point South in NJ.   206 miles!!!

  • Good job on the self discipline CEO! Much more then I have!!!

We had people over and I drank too much so now I'm nursing a slight hangover. I seriously have to get into shape though. I think I'm going to start the P90X Monday. We're going to Jamboree in the Hills this year and I don't want to be self concious while I'm walking around in a bikini top or anything!!

Other then my lovely hang over I'm not doing much of anything today. It is nice out so maybe take the dogs on a little hike and take my camera out. I need to get better at using it!

Yes it will!!! I'm hoping it goes right into March and we skip February. :)

  • I usually spend my Sundays on lesson plans and laundry while I'm waiting on Once Upon A Time. Such a boring an predictable day, especially when you're flat broke! At least some things in life are relatively free.
  • 65 miles!?! I would have a MI if I tried that.

Today I am making a meatloaf for dinner in the crockpot. I think our friend is coming over for dinner then my mom is coming over for dessert. I am attempting to make ice cream cupcakes. I made some vanilla cupcakes, once they cool I am going to core them and fill them with vanilla ice cream and frost with homemade whipped cream. I hope they come out ok. DH is very excited for dessert. I also made some homemade pizza sauce. It's my own recipe so hopefully DH likes it. I am going to make pizza for lunch either today or tomorrow.  DH is at a meeting this morning at the firehouse so I am cooking and cleaning. Other than that I am going to have a lazy Sunday.

    Enjoy your Sunday ladies!

Hahaha, this is kind of what I was thinking!

Haha! I wait ALL WEEK for Sunday night so that I can watch Once Upon A Time. It's the best!

And I'm with you on the poverty = boredom thing. We usually do groceries on Sunday and then whatever laundry I didn't get to on Saturday. The fun never stops in our household :P

  • Good Afternoon!  H and I had our first date since the baby last night.  Noah stayed home with my mom and we went to dinner and the movies.  As much as we missed Noah, it was so nice for us to have a few hours of husband and wife time.

Today we are spending the day at home, enjoying the last few days of H being on vacation.  He goes back to work on Wednesday :(  Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

  • Good morning! I'm not 100% sure what we're going to do today. It's so nice out, that there's a high possibility we may be going out fishing today, DH suggested it yesterday. Other than that, i'll just be doing some cooking for the week. :)

  • Good morning. I've been up since 7am this morning. Thanks again to Maya. I let her out, fed her and then went back to bed but then she started whining for me to get up, so I threw her outside and went back to bed. Then Faith woke up and wanted to go out so I let her out. So I've been in and out of bed all morning.

Raymond is smoking up two pork butts today on 'the beast'. I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully he'll make some smoked jalapenos poppers wrapped in bacon. YUM! Well, I gotta get to making some breakfast for us. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday.

  • Happy Sunday!  I got to sleep in today (totally heavenly), then I finally rolled out of bed and made H and I a big breakfast.  I've been doing laundry ever since.  I need to finish my meal plan for the week and go grocery shopping this afternoon.  Tonight H is dragging me with him and his friends to watch the wrestling PPV (barf).  I suggested that he go alone with the guys (so I can relax at home, make some phone calls to friends, etc.) and he got upset at me, commenting that I should be supportive of his interests.  {sigh}  So I guess I'm going to watch wrestling tonight.
  • H and I had church this morning, then we went to Sam's Club and Walmart for the week. We are getting ready to leave and go to a matinee movie with a gift card H got for his birthday- we are seeing One for the Money. Tonight, we are going to his mom's house for dinner, so I have the night off from cooking. I need to bake some cookies for my kids at school they earned in an incentive, though. I'll probably wait to do that until I get home from dinner.

  • Morning!! Today we're probably not doing anything exciting. H got off work at 7, so he's still asleep. My back is currently in knots, so I'm nursing myself on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa & watching The Cooking Channel. I'm glad I got most of the laundry & cleaning done yesterday because I'm not doing any of it today. I'll probably do a bit of meal planning, but nothing really sounds exciting right now. Blah.

  • I work until 3 today. The plan is to go home, do 30DS, wash some rugs (So fun I know you are jealous), take the dogs for a walk since it is pretty nice here (about 30 degrees) Tuesday is going to be 50!! That is a heat wave here in Chicago! Then I will make the meal plan for the week. Nothing too exciting going on here.
  • I just got home from babysitting, and it feels so good to sit down!  I plan on looking though the paper and cutting coupons, then doing dinner and 30 DS while getting ready for the week... Boo, another Monday!
