Weekend randoms
I'm starting the weekend without power. One of the power lines snapped this morning from snow I'm thinking. GRFD has been nice enough to park a fire truck out side until consumers gets here.

That's a lovely way to start the weekend eh? I hope you get your power back soon. I am in class of course. Can't say I've paid attention for any length of time this morning. My head is not in the game today.
A bunch of lights along Breton were out today. And people do NOT know how to take turns at an unplanned 4-way stop! Maddening.

Boo for power outages.
DH is gone most of the weekend so I've been learning about herbs. This home study course is way more involved than I expected, but it's kind of fun. Feels like I'm back in school.
We've had a fun weekend, so far.
Yesterday, Jim rented a minivan and we drove around to W MI Applebees to distribute materials for a promotion they're doing with his work. I now know where Applebees are in Greenville, Big Rapids, Ludington, and Muskegon. Tomorrow, we're going to Grand Haven and Holland. It was nice to be out and about in a different car. Small things...
Today, my parents came for a visit. We haven't seen them since our whirlwind Christmas visit 6 weeks ago. It was nice to have them here, and the kids took advantage of not having to share them with 3 other grandkids.

Yay for good weekends GRSP. I am like you and would delight in riding around in a rented car. Yes, the little things!:) It just feels like more of an adventure when it is not your own vehicle. When you head to the Holland location make sure you wave in my direction. We live in the neighborhood behind McDonalds/7-11 as you get off the expressway.:)
Thankfully my foot is feeling a bit better today. We went to Deanna's Playhouse and Noah loved it. He loved riding the quad in a big open space. Then we went to dinner tonight at 8th St. Grille. Had a yummy 3-cheese panini. Noah was SO good all throughout the long wait for a table and dinner, I was so proud of him!
DH is praying that the snow they are predicting for tomorrow comes in droves. He wants to take his snowmobile out sooo bad!

It was great skiing yesterday! It was a slow drive up north -- the roads were not so good in the morning -- but once we got there, it was great! We had a really nice time. It felt so, so good to be outside, breathing fresh air, and being active. It was a great day.

hmmm, Chicken and Apple. Can't say I have a recipes. I know or pork and apples recipes. Wonder if they would be interchangeable?

Do you have any Apple Stuffed Pork recipes? If so, could I have it? I can try to switch it out, or just make the pork!:)
I dont'. I can recommend the McCormick seasoning recipes of Pork and Apples. It has a recipe on the back and all the season is included in the package.
Where is Rowsters? The Swap sounded fun.
