Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Sigi Help Please

I finally got around to updating my avatar and signature.  Even though it seems to update just fine in my profile, the change isn't coming through on the boards.  It's been a really long time since I last updated, so it's possible I'm not doing it correctly, but I also don't remember ever having these issues in the past.  TIA.

  • This may sound crazy, and I have no idea why it works, but...try making the change by logging in to your previous SN.  I have to log in using my old SN to make any changes to my avatar or sig or else the change won't show up.  It makes absolutely no sense, but it works.

  • After some update they did awhile back, I had to delete my entire signature and start over from scratch before I could change anything.  Once I did that, I've been able to make changes.

  • This is going to sound very bizarre, but I may have found the problem.  When I go to my profile, it appears that I am updating a different user name's signature and avatar (very similar name to mine, but not mine).  However, when I go to links for my own user name, the buttons to change avatar and sig are no longer present.  I'm assuming there is no customer service for a problem like this one, but is there a way to reset my account?

  • They don't make it easy to get in touch with support around TK, do they?  I know there's an address to e-mail, but I can't find it.  I think it something like support@thenet.com?  kaesha can probably find out for you!
