Remember Fabric Place, a local chain that closed a few years ago? They reopened as Fabric Place Basement in Natick, right by Natick Collection. I caught a Living Social deal last week and found out about it (smart move, I doubt I would've otherwise), and made the trip up there today thinking it would be a bargain basement of old fabric. Turns out it is actually in a basement, and is great like it used to be! I feel like it's about the same size as the Randolph store used to be. They even had a cable tv and comfy chairs up front for guys to wait.
I'm so stoked to have a large scale local fabric store again, if only it were closer. I went and got a bunch of quarter yard cuts for the Oh,Fransson Sparkle Punch Quilt. Also this, which was too adorable not to get. I'm thinking pajama pants for DS and saving the rest for something else (Marty goes to Mars Martian Greeting):
