purging is so refreshing!
I have been fed up with the mess that is my closet (and my dresser) and I finally did something about it. I brought 4 trash bags about to burst to the donation bins at our town hall and bought a plastic storage bin for all my maternity clothes. My closet has never looked so empty! And my dresser is no longer a complete disaster!
It was the first time that I didn't save stuff that "I might wear sometime". If I couldn't remember the last time I wore it and/or really couldn't see myself wearing it anytime soon, it's gone.

First, love that new picture of A!
Second, I totally agree. We did quite a bit during 2011 and I'm really looking forward to finishing up this year. That was one of our agreements before we buy an organizational system for our closet is that we GET RID of things! It feels so good!

That's awesome! I've donated 4 trash bags of stuff while unpacking, and I still have two giant duffels of clothes I haven't touched! I imagine a lot of that will go too.
i'm trying to talk myself into it when I do the seasonal switch twice a year... (I swap out my winter-only sweaters for summer-only dresses each year in my work wardrobe).
I need to purge and I was trying to figure out how to save some of my clothes that I don't fit in at the moment but I'm working out it...I love the idea of saving one tote full and calling it good! Now that I have this idea, let the purging begin!!!
Ooh good idea Magda, I could save one bin of clothes that I hope to fit back into someday (ie my good suits). But purge everything else. I told Craig by the time I will fit back in to some of my stuff it will be completely out of date because I would have essentially not been in regular clothes in almost 4 years
I also have some clothes from college, I just need to part with it all...
