Deeder, others: GRap Food Swappers Info
GRap Food Swappers is a group that gets together on occasion to swap food items. Yesterday I brought herbal iron syrup and a tea mix to swap and ended up with some sweet chili sauce, applesauce, honey ginger yogurt, Hawaiian bread, spice rub, cookies, tomato jam, and a stout mustard. It was a small crowd because of the snow but it was fun to meet new people and try everything. Not sure when the next one is, I think it will be in the spring.
Here's the official description from the Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/GRap-Food-Swappers/157317391027624
Check out the GR Artisan Food Underground ... Come together with other food artisans to swap goods to fill our own pantries! You know how it works: Do you make preserves, vinegars, ciders, pickles or handmade herbal remedies? What about breads, kombucha, teas, or fermented beverages? Sauerkrauts? Infused booze? Do you even have your own eggs from your chickens? Cheese? Pies?
Whatever your kitchen specialty, participants should plan several of each sort of their treasured goods to swap. Time will be given at the beginning to socialize and sample goods and "bid" on each offering -- making a note what you are willing to trade.
You will leave with an armload of homemade goodness and hopefully a few new friends.

This would be perfect, then!
